Around the turn of the millennia, a fraction of children had developed powers beyond human limitations. Some used them in a responsible way, others abused them with impunity. Most were simply confused, so they turned to the modern mythology: The superheroes and supervillains.

Two decades later, detective Morgan Sun finds herself pursuing a vigilante who declared a one-man war on crime. When his self-destructive rampage threatens to drown the city in blood, her chase turns into a race against time - and against an Empowered enemy who outmatches her in every way.

The only silver lining is, Morgan has superpowers too – even if she has to wrinkle her nose every time she uses them!
