A month before the birthday of the crown princess, every renowned chef in the Kingdom of Leitrim received an invitation to the royal palace. The crown princess would be turning ten years old this year, and as was tradition, the palace planned to throw a grand feast in her honor.
Mairin Bellease, an average cook who worked at her parents' inn, also received a letter of invitation.
Just what kind of misunderstanding was this? she wondered. Well, it wasn't as if she was in any position to refuse. All she had to do was cook some eggs, and if the royal princess didn't like what she made, too bad.
Cute and simple yet has an underlying meaning that society needs to realize.
It's fine to challenge yourself and be ambitious but don't let your ambitions prevent you from seeing what truly matters. At least, that's how I interpreted it. Great story.

Although very short, the story was very heart warming. It is a good read.
It may not have much superfluous words or poetic like descriptions but the grammar used and the writing style was enough- no, it was fitting for this kind of story. It immerses you in the simple world created by the author, you don't need much to enjoy, you don't need a lot to understand.
This story is pure warmth bundled in with laughter and food. It is worth your time so go and read it!
