Status: b.2) chapter 29- the field...

Although it's a bit too soon to write a review this early into the story, I think this book is really underrated, so I wanted to show my appreciation. I'll structure this more or less like the reviews on WN for the sake of clarity.

If I was asked to briefly summarize, I'd say this book is about the journey of a freshly awakened illegal mage in a world predestined to face an unknown calamity.

The quality of writing so far is excellent. I don't think I've seen any mistakes or even typos, which shows the effort put into it.

The updating is stable at about 1 chapter a week, and the chapters are quite long.

The plot so far is very interesting. A lot is still shrouded in mystery, but I am sure we'll eventually get our answers. There were some unexpected twists and turns, so you definitely won't get bored. I like that there have been very few, if any, tropes thus far. Overall a very original and fresh story.

The characters are fleshed out really well, too. All of them have a unique personality, feelings, strong suites and insecurities. No one is perfect and no one acts as a superficial dumb villain - there is always a reason they act the way they do. The more important ones even have their own backstories, which helps get a better understanding of them and their motivations.

The world background might be my favourite part. I love the concept of the magic system (I haven't seen anything too similar before, and believe me when I say I read a lot of this genre), and what we've seen of the social structure seems really realistic and well-planned. It is set in medieval times, and up till this point we got to see the life of those at the very bottom of society. I'd expect to see some of the higher classes fairly soon though, thanks to the recent change in location.

♡ So thank you Author, and continue with the great work!

It still feels too soon to write a review, but this book is amazing. Its written just as good or even better as paper published books, and has excellent world building and characters. 10/10
