This list will be edited as new characters are introduced! The list will go by location and includes character nicknames both introduced in the novel and given by Hunny and I to describe the characters. Feel free to refer to them as you like ♥

Silas's village:

Silas: The main character of the novel. He is a young elven soldier trying to survive in the fight to help his family escape the violence of the war. He becomes an object of obsession for Clarence after rescuing him from the castle. His nickname is Waffles ♥

Emmeline: Silas's childhood sweetheart and wife. After falling ill at a young age, it has been her wish to live her short life with those she loves at her side. Spunky and lovable, Emmeline won't let her illness keep her in bed.

Maeir: Silas's mother and fierce soldier. Known as 'Bloody Maeir' by her comrades, she has an unknown soft-side for her children and is worried about sending Silas to the capital. She wants her children to be safe.

Cirdan and Aurelia: Silas's twin siblings. They are both strong and optimistic, and they are ten years younger than Silas, making them Clarence's age.

Meredith: A strong elven magician and spy for the elves. He delivers messages and supplies from the kingdom to the village. His ultimate goal is the end of the war. Known as 'Uncle Mary' by Silas and Emmeline.

Jacob: A violent, rambunctious young elven soldier, also Silas's training partner. After the loss of his little sister he fights any and all humans to avenge her death. He thinks of Silas like a little brother, even though he's younger than Silas.

Devon: A human with elven origins that sends information between the humans and the elves. As the village messenger, Devon is often traveling by horse to gather more information on the war.

The Faelfier Kingdom (West):

Adora Cailín: A young elven colonel from the capital of the Faelfier Kingdom, Moireach. She and Silas met and became friends after the attack on Silas's village in the Yursear Kingdom. Ten years later, they still have a close relationship as boss and subordinate. Her father calls her Ara.

Redford: An unfortunate human soldier under Silas's squad. He's sometimes quite sharp, with a good work ethic. He has terrible timing, and even worse awareness when it comes to personal matters. He's still loved by his squad members all the same.

Eva: A strange but beautiful human singer who is visiting Moireach as part of her travels. She leads a group of strange mercenaries and takes in Meredith and Silas to complete missions for her as part of the rebellion.

The Yursear Kingdom (Center):

Clarence: The next in line for the throne of the Yurseur Kingdom and a lover of elves and elven culture. After he was rescued by Silas, he becomes obsessed with The Martyr Elf storybook. Known as Clare by his family

King Godfreed: The current king of the Yurseur Kingdom. His influence has kept the war going for the past twenty years, and many elves strive to take his head to decorate their mantles.

Queen Racliffe: The queen of the kingdom and Clarence's birth mother. She hates the elves due to past trauma, and hopes for Clarence to rule the throne and wipe out the elves from the continent.

Alywin Cyneric: Clarence's longtime childhood friend that grew up in the castle with Clarence since the age of 10. From noble origin, the queen brought him into the castle in order to appease the young prince's temper and force him to make friends, though Alywin would not mind a different relationship between the two.

Captain Beau Laurent: One of the head captains of the Yursear Kingdom's Knights. Beau is widely known for his skillful swordplay and impressive physique. Not much is known about the captain personally, but he is known to be quite fierce in battle.

Sir Willis: The king's closest advisor who has worked at the palace for over ten years. Often he will ask for Willis's opinion before he makes a decision on his own. He was first introduced in chapter 8, but not even I remembered him until recently.

Theo: Clarence met Theo while escaping the castle with Alywin. Theo is a master of disguise and grew up with Alywin on the streets. He and Alywin have a lot of history together, and they work together often.

Miss Theresa: Owner of the brothel Theresa's. She is an informant for the elves in the Yursear Kingdom, and she stays in Meuridge in order to pass information between the members of the rebellion. She is very protective of her girls and is quite uptight, but also loving. She cared for Alywin while he was young.

Yulia: A fellow forest elf and astrologist. She works with Eva as a part of the rebellion. (More coming soon)

Duchess Ophira Carrillo: Prospective queen candidate for Clarence. She hails from the Eastern Plain District of the Yursear Kingdom.

The Bethell Kingdom (East):

Princess Charlotte: A beautiful, kind young princess from the Bethell Kingdom that has traveled to the Yursear Kingdom to meet Clarence as a prospective fiancée. Talented in the arts, the Princess seems to have high emotional intelligence too.

Princess Charlotte's Knight (No name): A strong, imposing knight sent to protect the princess. He has been at her side since childhood and would do anything to protect her. Often he is the one who decides who can get close to the princess or not. He's a very protective knight.

Vaan: A mysterious and strong knight hired by Eva to complete missions for her. He is known to be from the Bethell Kingdom, but there are some rumors that he was a palace knight before he left the palace to join the rebellion with Eva.

The Kyhmal Kingdom (South):

Neema: The taller of the two sisters. Neema has purple hair and a big heart, but she's quick as a whip and great with accounting. Skilled with a rapier, she often takes care of the group's spending with Saoirse.

Saoirse: Neema's younger sister. Saoirse's pink, wavy hair and short stature make others underestimate her, but she's as sharp as her sister and has a good sense of humor. Using her grimore, she prepares traditional Kyhmal medicines for their mercenary group.

Sagara Naceri: Second Princess Sovereign of the Kyhmal Empire and prospective queen candidate for Clarence.

The Vartien Kingdom (North):

Countess Annmaria Reid: Prospective queen candidate for Clarence. She is from the Wheatland District of the Vartien Kingdom.

Duchess Cordelia Bernard: Prospective marriage candidate for Clarence. She hails from the Southern Mountain District of the Vartien Kingdom.

Maarit Country (Queen Racliffe's home country):

Philomena Lambros: Prospective marriage candidate for Clarence. She hails from the Maarit Country, located between the South and Eastern Kingdoms, also connected to the Yursear Kingdom to the north of the country's border.
