Man I loved this. It always kept me guessing, the romance was a big part but not in your face, and boy did it have the aristocracy. I loved this, give it a try and see if you like it. All in all, one of my favorite books on this site!

The story is super promising! I like it so far (^v^). The MC here thinks rationally and doesn't do things that can make you facepalm. There's been a sense of foreboding her since the prologue which helps create an atmosphere as I read, jbjut in spite of that, I still can't help feeling the fluffines of the MC. Just an opinion though, but nonetheless, this is an awesome read.

One of the best novels on this site.  A balanced MC with clear goals and continuous progression inside an ever developing world.  Although the character development is lacking in regards, most of the people are the MC are servants and thus are expected to remain respectful and loyal to their lord.  I think the author did a good job by giving them semi-unique but flat personalities.

On the other hand the mild romance and interactions between the MC and the ML are interesting and well developed.  I'm not a fan or romance heavy novels, but in this book the romance is one of many well crafted components that form one of the best reads I've had on this site to date.

I cannot help but sigh in dismay.

Oh, not because I was disappointed after reaching the current chapter (as I write this review) but because I have caught up!!! Left with a hollow feeling, I am craving for more! More, I say! My heart was captured and now like any drug addict, I am waiting with bated breaths for the next update. Hnnng!! So much tension yet so much joy as well!

Ahem! Well, aside from my grieving woes how I much I want to have more to read. Let's get on why I am left like this:The grammar is so-so, there are mistakes and misspells but ones you can let it pass. Unless one is a total grammar nazi.  The author is doing their best to improve this. But grammar aside, the prose and the way everything is written, it left a vivid imagination of the world, the characters and the actions that take place. The world building itself made me smile as I adore the world building itself. You are not given blocks of text explaining every single thing and left your eyes sore, or worse, a headache akin to nails and hammers having a date with your skull and brain. Instead, it is given piece by piece, little by little. Status System from LitRPGs is present but not the main point as well as the subtle cultivation-like scheme in regards to rising of personal power that's attached to the

Status System. It is not the means to show how much our protagonist and friends grew as the story proceeds but just one of the plenty of milestones. In fact, early in the story, you're left questioning how much our Lady Sterne and friends have truly advanced in terms of power. Because that's not the whole point of the story but how Lady Sterne overcomes the obstacles her newfound responsibilities thrown at her.

Now to the character growth and interaction, the other thing of what I love about novels (aside from a nicely written action scene or romance scene). We are not presented with 2D characters but ones that made you love them. They are not flat and their character traits are highlighted with even the minuscule actions they do, much to my delight. Each interaction can either give me a good laugh, a bit of tension, or slight hatred (because of the antagonists) and other emotions. Even the villains.

But I am not done! The mystery and intrigues! That is another thing that captured my heart! You are left guessing in the early chapters and if you are not keen enough, you may miss the hints and connections. It's only at further chapters will the reads find answers to the questions they have and prove their hypothesis and guesses to be true or not. I only picked this novel up out of curiosity but also out of boredom, binge reading it until I've reached the current chapter within three days. Was it worth the time spent?

Yes! YES VERY MUCH SO! So please! Go ahead and give it a read!

Kudos to the author, bananapink, for this wonderful novel! I can't wait to read more as I've said above.

      Also, seriously,

      All hail Sterne x Royce.

If I could give a story more than 5 stars, I'd give this one as many more as I possibly could!

In my opinion, one of the best aspects of this story is the world building. There are lots of mysteries, factions and nations which all interconnect to form this story.

You then have our main character, Sterne. From the start, she’s painted to be rather spunky, odd and clear minded. Her relationship with Royce was realistic, though that may be because I’ve been reading too many Chinese novels recently which has lowered my expectations.

The characters were one of my favourite parts about this; they felt real, 3D and alive. Their interactions with Sterne and other characters shapes their image to a great degree.

However, one of my biggest problems with this story is how vague it is. Sometimes, I complain about there being too much information and exposition but this time, there is too little. The scene changes are choppy, explanations for events and just anything in general are limited which leaves you in this kind of limbo state where you’re looking forward to the next chapter just for an explanation about the previous one. And not in a good way.

Towards the end, this problem is amplified and at times, I had trouble keeping up. Even the last time skip after she is sucked into that portal is jarring to me. You have the overarching plot about the Holy City and the Holy Son’s plan to ascend by using a fallen god’s body but anything surrounding it is vague and confusing. That is the main reason why I found this story so troubling at times.

Also, the LITRPG elements with the levels and such are similarly vague. While it can be used as a measure of strength, what does that mean when you have no idea how strong anyone else is? Levels are a measure of strength because you have something else to compare to. Too much focus on the LITRPG would’ve ruined this story for me but on the other hand, this is too murky and vague, once again.

I don’t feel sorry for criticising this story so much because I believe that you can use to become better. Its’s not about what you didn’t do. It’s about what you did wrong. All the pieces were there; you just executed it wrongly. I loved this story, regardless of its problems and you should be proud of what you wrote. I just hope that you don’t feel disheartened or discouraged after my admittedly harsh review.

EDIT: Review is outdated. By chapter 116 most of the issues are gone. I still will only give it a 4 star rating due to lack of reediting the early chapters.

I very much dislike the way this is written. Each time a new plot point or villain is introduced it's done so in a vague manner so you don't immediately understand what exactly is going on. Yeah you eventually do but still. Then there are the rather large amounts of misspellings, missing words for sentences, and just poorly constructed sentences throughout the whole novel. That plus the fact it's written in 3rd person but in a way that makes it seem like the characters are trying to describe what is happening just generally drags the story down.

Also FAR too many storylines were introduced early on.

Also the LITRPG elements are used way too infrequently. You can go 10 chapters and not see them mentioned at all.

Took me three days to catch up to the latest chapters, and I got to say, what a ride. I would recommend people reading this story, simply because of the romance and the connection that the FL makes along the way. This is a typical fantasy story, that will make you cry, be amuse and guessing where the plot it going. Still this story is amazing because I enjoyed the adventure
