In the vast world of AniMalarnia, intelligent animal empires shaped as much by survival as by ideology. No kingdom is purely good or evil and morality is mostly viewed through personal desire and survival. Within each society holds contradiction in compassion, conquest, cooperation and exploitation intertwined.

Beneath the surface lies Shadehaven, a subterranean insectoid civiliaztion built on discipline and silence. Its people once known for their warrior tradition, were destroyed when the Fire-Ance Empire invaded, promising unity but delivering subjugation instead. What followed was not peace but assimilation, forced labor and exploitation.

At the center of it all is Nightrein, a Shadow Ance warrior and last remnant of Shadehaven's old order. Branded as a traitor and sentendced to death after his homeland fell, he escapes into exile. Now he wanders a fractured world that no longer has a place for him, haunted by the memory of his fallen kingdom. The question of whether survival without identity is truly survival at all.
