Have you ever wondered what a character in a novel or in a game should be?
Do they eat? Sleep? Do they have their own life when you are not reading or playing?
They do not.
When you are not doing anything, we stay still.
Once upon a time, somebody once told me, 'Don't evaluate a fluffy/wish-fulfilment novel based on a romance novel's criteria.'
To be honest, I like romance novels. Especially ones that are written with cliched tropes in mind. Now, this novel is cliched, is not cliched, is a romance novel, is not a romance novel; it's a mix of everything the author wants to write but can't write. The fluff is good, though, which is where the one-star comes in being.
Lots of misused words, similes, wrong syntax, bad sentence structure, yada yada yada. Furthermore, in the latest chapters, the author seems to have lost his drive to write. And according to my experience of half a decade of reading original novels, he will eventually drop this a few chapters later.
