"Eye Shifting"
An extremely unique mechanic that has been developed in the creation of this novel series. Essentially there are these three "states" in which the story could be telling in, indicated by these three symbols, [ -I- ], [ -II- ], and [ -III- ].

All texts used below an [ -I- ] indicator will be continuing the story through the thoughts and actions based from the view of a character within the story. You could say that, "the story begins talking in first perspective" every time an [ -I- ] is used.

You might be able to guess that [ -II- ] indicator would continue the story using second perspective, and the [ -III- ] indicator would use third perspective.

If you really want to memorize what each indicator does what, just think about Roman Numerals. "I" translates to 1 from Roman Numerals, "II" means 2, and "III" would then mean 3. If you are not that experienced in using roman numerals, an alternate way to memorize the indicator functions would be to just count how many "I"'s are there.

Note that all the indicators located in the story are NOT being used randomly as all of these indicators are used with intent.

"Eye Shifting" Purpose

The main reason for why I had implemented this "Eye Shifting" mechanic was due to the fact that this web novel series was going to have one of its philosophical themes around Perspective. More specifically, "it's all about the perspective, and who's side you are seeing the story from."

Here is something you can't ever unsee once you read this:

Spoiler

Symbolically and thematically, this web novel series has actually mentioned a ton of eye imagery in every single chapter. Muahahah! Now you shall never escape this book's gaze!

[collapse]

The [-I-] and [-III-] indicators really aren't that special in my opinion, which leaves out [-II-].

Now you might be wondering, "what's so interesting about second perspective?" Well that's because you, the reader, are given a literary chance to be put into the story! It might make you do and think about things that you wouldn't do normally of course, but it's not that you are just randomly set into the world, you are actually set into a character! You see... by putting you into another character's perspective, not only do you get to think about the character whom you are taking over, you also get to think feel and act out yourself what the character is feeling and acting out as well on a subconscious level (which helps you connect with the character I am putting you in the shoes of).

With [-I-] or [-III-] indicators, feelings that are expressed from relatable characters sometimes might feel obstructed and limited, however with [-II-] indicators, a relatable character's feelings are not just expressed, they are expressed with you and from you as well and therefore straight to you, granting you a greater connection with a character.

Which is overall pretty cool if you asked me.

Characters
Endo Murasaki (Pre-Transported)

(遠藤 紫)

A 17-year-old teenager in his high school junior years.

His appearance resembles quite similarly to those other generic other isekai looking characters, however, that has been done on purpose, for reasons that I shall not tell.

His (pre-transported) outward appearance may also resemble your average real-life wanna-be edgy kid, and he may also resemble those try-hard kids who have maintained perfect grades. He may also resemble the real-life equivalent silent kids who go to school as well.

You might consider him as a self-insert character as well.

Hikari Nakajima

(中島 ひかり)

Nakajima Hikari is also a 17-year-old teenager who is in their high school junior years.

In her first appearance she was described as wearing a decently thick purple sweater, having pale white hair, and green emerald eyes, while dawning a decently average body shape, and a decently flat chest.

With her given description, she may be quite similar to the character Echidona from another isekai Light Novel series shortly named, Re: Zero written by Tappei Nagatsuki.

Ryusei Nakajima
A 44 year old father of a single child family. He is family related to Hikari Nakajima, as she is his only daughter.

In his first appearance he is described as wearing a white stainless lab coat. Ryusei is not physically described on purpose as to leave that to the reader's imagination.

However if Dr. Ryusei's body shape were to be described, he would be quite similar to the character Hououin Kyouma from the Visual Novel, Steins; Gate.

Creatures
Zealiths

"A creature so vile, dangerous, and powerful, that the word 'demon' won't be a worthy name for it. A creature so corrupt that upon a touch will shatter your body to a pulp." - Hero Gailiath

Monstrous and demonic creatures made of only flesh and bones associated with the demon race, however this can only be theorized to be the case as no one truly knows where they come from.

Location
Japan

Though the actual setting of the real world is never focused on, initially it had taken place in japan.

A real life location on planet Earth (of course), however it is never directly said where specifically the characters are in this real life equivalent version of japan as to not stir up controversy. Perhaps you could find the actual real life locations for where these characters actually lived if you did some text for text geographical theorizing.

This version of japan in the year 2024 is not initially described on purpose because I want the reader to fill in the location with the place they had in mind as to help increase the impact of that specific "moment" that occurs within the first chapter of volume 1.

School

The school in which Eras entered in [Volume 1 - Chapter 1] was never particularly described because it was not the main focus in that chapter. However, if it were to be described in the book, it would be just like your average high school in japan, however there have been some U.S High school elements that have incorporated such as AP and CIS classes. Though in real life I actually have heard that in the upcoming next few around years from now Japan high schools will start implementing AP classes.

The students in the school are never described as social (but it is also not deliberately stated that students didn't socialize) on purpose in [Volume 1 - Chapter 1] because I wanted to express my true experiences of when I was in actual high school. Yeah... "reality is often quite disappointing." It's pretty quiet, and not as loud or energetic as I thought it would have been when I was there.

The Park

The park setting is mentioned in Volume 1 - Chapter 1.

This location has been based off of an actual real life park in japan, although for safety reasons I shall not tell you the actual place. If you really are curious then you might as well want to do some theorizing!

Kingdoms
Kingdom Of Heimfall

The land which Heimfall stands on once belonged to one the three ancient dominions named, Lergath. It's terrain can only be described as unnatural and physically impossible. With its gravity somehow curved inversely, forming this menacing surfing wave of made of dirt and stone.

The reason for why it's gravity had been so warped was due to an incident that occurred during the era, of "wars for peace." One of the fabled heroes of Lergath Oarista, known for her deep and transformative knowledge of spatial magic, was forced to use one of her final trump cards known as [The Grandest Collapse] during the defense of the invasion from the Axalera dominion. According to historical and foot soldier witnesses, something had gone wrong while Oarista casted the spell. Due to her miscasting, the spell was released incorrectly and as a result it permanently deformed the terrain's gravity in an inverted manner.

Despite the miscasting, the defending army still managed to fend of the invaders from the Axalera dominion due to the chaos and confusion that had been caused with the spell.

Historians speculate the cause for what went wrong as Oarista casted [The Grandest Collapse] was the fact that Oarista was afflicted with a deadly sickness on that day during the defense. To this day, the information on what the full spell of [The Grandest Collapse] would have done is being withheld in the archive records that is now currently in the hands of the supreme archive of the Kingdom of Heimfall.

It deserves 5 star rating for chapter 4. It's not your normal super cliche novel. It has tropes but they are not dumb or used without care

Mmh! Just like someonesomeguy said, this novel isnt a sh*tty cliche novel where the MC gets some dumb super op ability steal from some s*xy goddess and then gains a harem in 15 chapters while hiding his powers for no reason. A very promising novel with little to no grammar errors and nice pacing. Most tags have not been shown in 8 chapters, but if you read past the first few chapters before his transportation/isekai and enjoy the quality of writing sit tight as it is consistant throughout the rest of the chapters. PhillisCreziles, I'm looking forward for more of this novel and will be following it on royal road as well!
