Sable Marten was the youngest daughter of Marquis Marten, a man infamous for his ruthlessness and cunning, willing to even use his own family to achieve his goals. After being neglected by her family and the servants for years, she wished to earn the affection of her father. Having spent most of her time in her family’s library, she studied and quietly honed her skills until the opportunity to help her father finally came. Blinded by her need for approval, she revealed her ability and talent for plotting assassinations and acts of espionage to her father, who quickly made use of her skills in his plan to overthrow the royal family.
However, their plot was discovered, and Sable was used as a sacrificial pawn by her father and left at the mercy of the Grand Duke. Abandoned and imprisoned, Sable waited for her fate to be decided.
After confessing her crimes to the Grand Duke, she swallowed the poison offered to her, closed her eyes and quietly waited for her death... only to wake up in her bedroom. Sable had gone back in time to when she was ten-years old, several years before her imprisonment and subsequent death.
Of course this time, she would do her best to live quietly.
Alright, this story is really well written in my opinion. The very first chapter hooked me with its storytelling and how well the main character introduced themselves. Throughout later chapters, it presents us the thoughts, fear and anxiety of the main character and how that interacts with others which I really enjoy.
I wouldn't like to say the characters are completely fleshed out and all seem very realistic, but for the current state of the story, this may change with time. The characters seem 2.5d at the least with motivations and believable thought trains.
I recommend reading this as I think, from the way the story writes the characters, is really worth it.

Very well written, the storytelling and worldbuilding really fits together. Characters are introduced and are not just one dimensional characters (Some of them right now atleast) and we see them develop along with the MC.

Intriguing plot, in a more political sense then the literary one. The main character returns to the past and makes plans to improve her future like normally happens in these types of stories, but her plans go horribly wrong since she was missing crucial information about her father.
The writing is good and the characters are interesting.
Im rooting for the main character to find happiness and escape from the shadows of her trash of a parent.
