Synopsis

Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian—just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there.

Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies.

All he wanted was to finish the job at hand and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead, he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company, and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list.

Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed

The story is interesting enough, the grammar is well done and characters are being fleshed out well.

Apart from that the references to mythos and slight lovecraftian angle has been crafted expertly.

My only complaint is speed of updating but then that itself tells you that I like this novel so much that 4 updates a month isn't enough for me.

The awesome thing about STF is how consistent it is. The characters grow at a consistent pace and well the progression itself is done in much the same way. Well, that's the prelude to my review. Just read the story, and save us all time, but in case you want to know what you are getting into:

Characters: Every character has some unique trait that separates them from the rest. The dynamic way in which this causes them to interact is very entertaining, especially Elena's interaction with others. Just keep an eye out for it and you'll see it.

Writing Style/Grammar: Every word or expression used is refined and understandable. That is a really exceptional thing! It isn't a mess of words that are all trying to call out to you. As for the writing style itself, STF manages to express complex ideas through words. It's awesome to actually read and be in awe at a character's power.

Lore: When reading most stories, you will notice that certain bits are there because they are, no further details necessary. Well, here most things are explained. The others aren't to keep their mystique or to be explained at a later date. Piecing them together is a neat activity.

Basically, just read it to understand how good it is. No review is a substitute for your own judgment.

What a great story. It's interesting to the point I had to postpone my bedtime for several days. And it was without regret. I enjoyed the plot that thickens progressively, Lukas is a good major character and it's refreshing to see authors who aren't afraid to be original.

For me, this story is heavily recommended. But be warned, you are here for a wild ride. And sleep? Forget it.

The entire premise of the story might have been an isekai, but the way it is presented is just so... enticing. Like there are various points where I thought something would happen and something else entirely would happen and I just don't know how to express how cool that is. I think that the way the story is presented is a tier beyond this site but at the same time feel that most of it devolves into an exposition spiel. I am not sure I care for that much to be honest. If anything, I am more interested in the action, but having a world build isn't so bad. I would definitely recommend people to read this if only to understand how to write a story because of how well everything is written. To end my little review while I like the quirky characters and will stay for them, I am not sure how much I like the chapters purely devoted to talking.
