So tales of the wanderer, a bit of a hidden gem tho could be because am an apt fan of the fantasy genre so am showing favouritism. So i'll just go about this categorically.

Characters: the story is still only a few chapters in so there isnt really much to talk about, even the best of writers usually require prequels and sequels in order to actually mold characters properly but so far I like the stoic calm nature of the protagonist and his focus on what he defines as important it shows his strength of character without the need of young master situations, so far so good for me.

World building: same thing for characters tho the author lays a ting of mystery to the surrondings as if they have more to them than meets the eye which is quite tricky to do considering he describes them with an almost Tolkein level of depth and probably didnt go full tolkein solely cause he thought it would make the story boring for the reader which takes a certain level of skill so hats off to that, I have high expectations for how the settings turn out.

Pacing: can only be described as slow and steady, inconsequential details are rushed so no filler thankfully and the story is progresssing as mysteries unfold so that is another plus for me.

Writing: its not tolkein or HP lovecraft level but its decent, understandable and to the point, helpful in this sort of highly description requiring stories so nothing to complain about and the author seems to be trying to go to a more poetic level while writing this so I wonder how that will turn out.

All in all, A good read.
