I've read the first four chapters and here are my thoughts.
Absolutely brilliant.
The story pacing is very good. Laura manages to make the experiences fresh and funny, which makes the reader forget that not much time has passed in the story.
The style of writing is great. The words just flow from one word to the other. I think this is Laura's best work yet, granted I've only read box-shaped heart, which is also a banger.
The grammar is impeccable. As said above, Laura needs no editor for their grammar.
The characters and the story is where it is at. The premise hooks you in and the characters make you stay. The world is very well built and the characters that populate it are three-dimensional. People have agency here, not just the main characters which are very hard to do.
I especially like Pepin. Pepin rules.
