Brian L. Morrison, 21 years old, US Army. Been in for, what, 3 years now? Still just a Specialist, I've got no desire to become a Sergeant or Corporal just yet. Anyways, while on mission one day, things went sideways. I was shot in the chest, barely missing my heart and lungs but it didn't matter much. Either through some sick joke from fate or a few severed blood vessels, I bled out in my buddies arms. I expected enternal darkness, but the light pulled me back in. My fate was changed and now I charge onwards, into another world!

Complete rewrite in progress, with changes to story, pacing, certain characters, and Brian's background. Progress is slow due to real life events. All future chapters will be released in batches. All previous chapters including the rewritten prologue and chapter 1 have been removed for restructuring. Series is not abandoned as of February 05, 2024.
