Aperio had been a slave for as long as she could remember. She toiled away in the palace of her masters, her body forced to obey, her mind no longer caring that she did. Her only joy was the small inconveniences an error in her work could bring, the resulting punishment a small price to pay. When the news came she was to be sacrificed in a grand ritual, she welcomed it—for most, death was a cause for grief and mourning, but for Aperio, it was her only way out.

However, during the final stages, something went wrong. Fate intervened, and Aperio found herself in a world she no longer knew, with powers beyond her wildest dreams. No longer a slave to the Empire, she set out to find her place in the world, and enjoy true freedom for the first time in her life.

Please do keep in mind that this story is a training exercise for me, if you have any critique that extends past ‘it’s garbage’ I would love to hear it.

Status: crusade – chapter 82: a decision made

Great concept, poor execution. Author continues to artificially force the MC to walk in emotional circles causing the plot to stall and turn dull and repetitive.

Being honest with this review ok.

Let's start by talking about some little things that I have difficult to understand in the beginning.

What's up with all these excuses in the first few chapters?

      Starve to dead?

Can't use her power in the real world as she used in the void????

Let me see if I get this right, and sry I'm not English so maybe I'm getting this all wrong but you describe a character that is begging to be killed to not suffer anymore right? after that, she somehow ascends to divinity or at least something close to that. but she didn't know that. Okei let's keep going here. At that time she knows a few things, she can fly and her scars disappear. sound good. soo to not starve she decides to find a way out. Well Ok is not like she wanted to die in the first place right? Good let's continue. She finds a way to leave but oopsie! looks like the place she founds out, is a place that looks like the prison she knew in the empire (kingdom IDR) she suicides... What to do now?? Well, she jumps in it boy, she willingly goes to a place where she preferred to took her life other than be in the void... 200IQ. You know the best part is she could choose another way, she knew that was not the only way out, but she was afraid that if she chose wrong she could find herself in an ocean. RLLY?? look by the way you write this main character it just doesn't make sense her choices.

The more I read the story, the more I see excuses and you actually nurf your character._. anyway sorry for my awful English and the waste of your time.

The story is fun and interesting. The idea is pretty interesting and the story does manage to portray it well in my opinion.

I think it's fairly fun to watch the MC deal with the weird situation they find themselves in. The character cast if pretty interesting. My favorite besides the MC would be the hotblooded Paladin/Knight.

The story is good and I'd say that it's worth a read.

Status: advent – chapter 39: mistakes

When I started this, I wasn't sure what to think.  It seemed interesting enough, but it was very different from most stories I've read. I am very glad I stuck with it because right now it is one of my favorite stories on this site.  At first I was put off by the MC being ignorant of the world and her abilities, while at the same time being incredibly powerful, but over time I realized how brilliant it was.  Despite her power (or perhaps because of it) she is no more infallible than any of us, which helps relate to the MC.  Making mistakes and learning from them is an important part of growing, and while the MC starts "grown" she is essentially a toddler that has been handed a death ray and been told they can go play.  As the story progresses she learns and grows and as a reader I get to experience the process.

Status: crusade – chapter 78: unpleasant choices

Well, this story is heart-wrenchingly familiar to anyone who knows a person with OCD or similar disorders. That sense of wrongness in seemingly simple actions or words. That maddening drive to do something even when you don't know why it has to be done. The irrational emotions that blind you to everything even when you don't want to feel it or let it take control. This is compounded by the trauma of slavery to take away even more control.

My heart was breaking every time she would question herself because the memory loss is just a convenient plot device to put her through the tortures of these types of disorders in a more exaggerated way. People with these disorders are almost always tearing themselves apart trying to cope or compromise with themselves just to live their daily lives in a way that would be perceived as normal or at least routine. I'm fairly certain the author either knows someone with a similar disorder in their close family and friends or has witnessed the horror that is being trapped in a body that is not completely within the control of the person in question.

The word flow is a bit staggered at times, though the general feeling of stagnation might actually be a plus during the mid stages of this story since it really gets you feeling depressed and suppressed.

The story itself feels like a portrayal of a person going through a psychological disorder in line with OCD or something similar. Not the nice TV versions of the disorders, but the actual crippling disorders that make living a regular life almost impossible for the person in question.

The grammar is great. I don't doubt there was probably a mistake somewhere within the 78 chapters I've gone through thus far, but I can't for the life of me remember, which is a plus for me since grammar mistakes usually pull me out of a story right away.

Overall a very good read. I'd recommend anyone reading this to really try to get a feel for what the MC is going through, it resonates strongly of witnessing the struggle of a person with a disorder in line with OCD.

With well developed characters, an interesting premise and high quality of writing, this is one of the best fantasy stories on Scribblehub.

The beginning of the story is a little slow while also anxiety inducing as Aperio tries to figure out what is going on with herself and her powers. As the reader, its hard to get a grasp on her personality, so some of the decisions and actions she makes can be a little frustrating. However, as the story develops so does Aperio, and she turns into a fascinating character with a lot of depth.  She is a character that has suffered a lot of abuse, but the author handles it in a manner that is mature and respectful, adding to her character and affecting her motivations in profound ways.

The slow pace of the story also means we can follow her journey with an intimate understanding of her thoughts as she uncovers the mysteries of her identity. So far the story has touched only a little bit on the side characters, but they also making for interesting personalities that sometimes clash with Aperio's. The slow pace also keeps the reader engaged, as it is well written and does not ever divert from the story or characters. Each chapter serves a purpose, so that when you're finished you're always left craving for more.

Despite the slow start, I really love this story so far and it has a huge amount of potential. I can't wait to see where the author takes it next.

Status: omen – chapter 182: universal constant

This story has exactly what I like: no harem, female lead, overpowered protagonist, true god MC, it doesn't nerf MC for reasons and MC has this... "alien" mentality.

It is my favorite story without doubts.

PD: If you can handle the first 100 chapters of emotional baggage, you get to the interesting part.
