A Detective from the 21st century gets killed during one of his cases. After his death, he gets offered a unique case by a Goddess.

In a world similar to Earth during the Victorian's Era. There lived a thief. People referred to him as 'Mystery Magician'.The Magician became famous for being a thief and the performances he pulled during those thefts. The man lived his entire life doing what he loved. He thrived upon the thrill of getting chased. And at 103 years, he died of old age. Meaning he never got caught. The detective gets sent back in time when the Magician had just started stealing. And he has one task. "Catch the Magician"

However, little did the detective realize, the world he gets sent to is vastly different from Earth. As the Goddess fails to mention, it's a world of Steam and Magic.
