Ambiance refers to the life energy fields, also known as auras, that surround and permeate all living things. It is the combination of Aura Manipulation (Manipulating the subtle, luminous aura radiation that surrounds a person or object) and Chi Manipulation (Manipulating the flow of one's metaphysical energy). Ambiance practitioners can consciously perceive, manipulate, and amplify Ambiance for a variety of effects.
Prince of Caelania, Grandson of King-Emperor Raymond Estimar. Has dreams to be an adventurer, just like his grandmother. Trained for most of his life with his older brother and sister, he got accepted into Grand Ridge Academy one year early thanks to the headmistress, Elvira Dominguez.
Cairo is the lancer of team ENAVR and a powerful pyrokinetic. However, he restrains his abilities for valid reasons, such as collateral damage. Known for his quiet and melancholic nature, Cairo maintains a balanced and pragmatic perspective. He sees the world for what it is, without falling into idealism or cynicism.
Yolanda displays an apathetic and indifferent demeanor, approaching challenges and missions with a laid-back "whatever" attitude. Despite her unemotional exterior, she possesses a heart of gold and serves as the muscle of Team ENAVR. Yolanda's athletic prowess earned her a spot in Grand Ridge through a lottery drawing, but her apathetic and party-going attitude caused her to be held back a year.
Mika, the cynic of the group, harbors a deep sense of distrust and pessimism towards people and the world. She often expresses her negative views through sarcasm and tends to see the worst in situations. Despite her cynical demeanor, Mika takes on the role of the Team Mom in ENAVR, driven by her own experiences of discrimination as a half-elf and an ongoing search for her identity. Though she may come off as a bit of a tsundere, she has a softer side hidden beneath her tough exterior.
As the Brains of ENAVR and the youngest child of the Kawasaki family, Ryunosuke's acceptance into Grand Ridge Academy came through a special recommendation. Tired of living up to his father's high expectations, he seized the opportunity to leave for Grand Ridge. However, Ryunosuke battles with low self-esteem, leading to conflicting motivations and internal struggles. He grapples with conflicting views, emotions, and loyalties, creating constant inner turmoil. Ryunosuke's perception of morality, responsibility, and difficult choices is characterized by nuanced shades of gray.
The main setting of the story. It is home to the best schooling and education for future adventurers and thriller-seekers. Second-year students are put into five-person teams based on their skills, knowledge, and cooperation.
