*There are sex scenes that pop up later down the line starting from volume 2. Also some yuri shit that ends up developing.*(Hence why I’ve recently added smut tag. It’s not overbearing and the story doesn’t just get drowned out in endless sex scenes though. I’d rather keep a delicate balance.)
FALSE HOPE
I began reading this story under the assumption this would be a regular cheesy ol' smut webnovel (i didnt read much of the descripton) and it would indulge in the usual shameless and horny debauchery that's usually involved in those types of stories but instead I was plesantly surprised with a promising spicy budding romance redo slice of life story which, however, in recent volumes has mutated into some wierd vomit amalgam of several different genres accompanied with the authors shameless self-projecting long pseud. Rants about f*cking taxes, the root of evil, why we don't have 20 wives, and the cherry on top some wierd o' scuffed dialogue about being the devil has made for one of the most frustratingly stupid, teeth-gnashing, & ball shriveling cringe fests I've ever forced myself to read.
Which is unfortunate because I had taken a liking to volume 1-- I had enjoyed the early dynamic between Rosa & Ran and the intimacy they showed later on, the only thing that rubbed me wrong was the terribly long-winded and seemingly forced confession but I let it be because I had figured it would get better from here but I was surprised to find out that everything that happened in volume1 seemingly took the backseat just so we could force some bland two dimensional character and just needlessly clutter up the story instead of further develop it. Which seems to be reoccurring problem-- just a lot of clutter in the story and no clear direction which makes this an unbearable read.

Imagine that you are a gloomy and boring person to the extreme, and the girls throw themselves at you. This is the dream of all the heroes of Japanese novels. I do not know if the writer is Japanese, but this does not matter.
What is most disturbing in this way is that the MC is not interested in girls who consider him family, and he is trying to throw them to other men. Trust, I think because the MC is a cuckold, but he has not discovered his desires at the moment
This novel is a dog feces

Recently, I went through a phase that every reader will or has already passed through. Being a picky reader who drops novels before finishing even the first chapter. And here we have Redo of a Hea... cough cough ... Redo of a Romanceless Author, a novel that hooked my attention in a couple of paragraphs. Not gonna lie, It took me by surprise how well-written everything is. Truly a cut above the rest of the stories from this site. I would even dare to say that the grammar is quite impeccable.
Characters are extremely unique and it is quite enjoyable seeing them in scenes. However, the best thing there is in this novel it's the chemistry between the characters, it always puts a smile on my face. It's funny how MC it's a person who thinks that knows everything and how to live their own life, but things keep going differently from what he planned, even with his 'vast' life experiences. The only problem I had reading was during the start of the second volume, it felt like Rosa was put aside for the other girl. Don't get me wrong I loved both of them, but it seems the author went through the 'routes problem'. What is that? When writing a Harem with a bunch of girls it's EXTREMELY hard to balance the screen time for all of them. Though Author has already showcased that they do have the skills to solve that.
Overall, a lovely slice of life with a ton of potential, capable to make you feel like a little kid in love. I wish I had money to buy everything you have on Amazon, but buying in dollar will kill me

This story made me feel cheated. It started with such a good introduction and the initial characters were fun to read and were believable. The start was so well done I felt 150 chapters was too little. It made you want to msg the author and say "hey hurry up." Unfortunately, when the second girl is introduced it feels so forced that you have to check if maybe the author changed. Where did the rational thought go? The sense of disbelief you are willing to give up starts to dwindle until it runs dry like a desert lake. You slog through chapter after chapter hoping maybe the author slipped up maybe he lost himself for a brief moment. Alas, it does not change it only feels to get worse. It's akin to trying to max affinity for a fallout follower as soon as he gets it max the first girl felt like she got sent away. Not even bringing up the fact that she exist to the second girl. Even though that would solve the problem he found himself in. If the MC was a self-proclaimed playboy it would make sense but the dialogue leads you to believe he is content with the first girl. This new girl is a nuisance and he can't stand her. It's only logical to get as close as possible to her that will show her. It feels like his solution to the problem is to get her pregnant. Nevertheless, the perfect grammar and great start earn it a three-star review. I never had trouble understanding what the author was saying just could not believe the outlandish character development.

After reading chapter 150, it’s almost impossible not to leave a 5 star review for this novel. This is A Gem.
I don’t really enjoy slice of life but this? I loved.
Nor do I enjoy drama either but this isn’t too heavy. Things do get resolved pretty quick and in a satisfactory way- just go check out tinyestim’s spoiler review.
I kept this in my Maybe? Collection for months now... solely because of the harem tag. I was just put off by the yuri warning.
Especially about chapters 70-90 when he goes through the whole suicidal-ish thoughts phase
But 150 chapters in, and as the author has mentioned, it’s not overbearing and so I’m not too fussed. I’m too invested in this sh** to even care at this point ;). Anyways ~50ch I was sad when I realised it was a harem novel- first girl was just too good a character and romantic interest. Now I’m glad because
Irene is the best. I look forward to her interactions the most.
So yeah, interests are developed very well, and story development is great.
The MC: First 100 chapters- did not like him as a character but I would rate him 5* for character design alone. The author has just created a perfect character. Past 100 chapters you get an MC who grew on me, is more likeable and is designed very well. Can I rate beyond a 5*? It’s not that he’s not likeable; you definitely won’t struggle to read the first 100 because of the MC. His attitude, monologues and conversations will have you hooked to this novel whether or not you like him.
Updates: Consistent, 1ch/other day= pretty quick for SH. But not quick enough hehe. Will look into buying from Amazon. It’s that good!
For readers who are on the fence:
Just scroll to the bottom of ch150 and if that doesn’t convince you to read it than nothing can!
Great novel author!

First off: Give the story a read.
The story is pretty nice. We mainly get the viewpoint of a kind of bitter MC who just wants to singlemindedly live out his life while only caring about the one thing he enjoys. He dies, goes back in time and because he changed one lnteraction everything changed and the fire nation attacked. (In this case his seat-neighbour the Firestorm)
This story is definitely one of the best I have seen on scribblehub. I enjoyed most if not all of the scenes, the grammar was good with some small errors here and there. The only other thing to criticise in my opinion is the lack of some more characters and interactions with those as some are introduced and forgotten forever or for a long time. The story does really well on the characters it mainly focuses on and their witty, funny or emotional exchanges. Also I wish there were a few more background descriptions and more depth to the world but I wasnt necessarily missing it that much.
I tried my best with this review but as I just binged all of the currently available story on kindle and am writing on my phone, forgive me for a lack of structure and probably grammar ;)

I have enjoyed the story up to this point. So much, in fact, that I have purchased the first two volumes on Amazon.
The story was a bit iffy at first, but I did enjoy the listless relationship the main character was trying to achieve with his "love interest". There have been a few ups and downs, and it was kind of like the feeling of an airplane trying to take off.
After a bit, once the two characters sit down and really talk in a heart-to-heart, the story starts to climb and just keeps climbing. I'd almost classify this as a "romantic comedy" as he falls into a romance despite his best efforts. Yet, it is not quite that.
I'd almost classify this as a "slice of life", but the story takes interesting turns despite his quest for peace and quiet.
One of the places things really shine though, are the character interactions. When our main character sits down and explains his reasoning to someone else, and they respond back with playful and intelligent banter. It is character development at its finest. You really do get the impression that these are people with real thoughts and feelings, and not throwaway placeholders.
I understand that as of this writing (Sept 1, 2021) the author is working on getting volumes 3 and 4 out. The author is definitely on a wonderful creative streak, and I can't wait to read more. =)

This novel is good, actually really good.
Beside some cringe moments here and there, the story delivers.
The characters are complex, some more than others, and some.... well let's say that a 16 year old girl as astute and mature than the one I am thinking about must be born once in 10 millennia....
Still, I can see the need from the author to have someone like that to accompany the MC as he is really a one of a kind.
The MC is well thought, mature, realistic, down to earth and faithful to his settings so far.
He feel more human than most of the MCs that normally plague this genre and do not compromise with his nature nor with his views.
The grammar is near perfect and I can see that the author is uncompromising with the quality of his work, this is another thing I really appreciate about this novel.
In conclusion, this novel is a hidden gem, I can't understand why I took so long to discover it, well, now I did.

The story is all around pretty good. The character interactions and their in depth conversations are where it really shines though.
Early on the MC seems a bit out of character being quick to do some actions counter to normal but hung up on others.
His (Ran's) though process for becoming Rosa's boyfriend is rather unexplained and abrupt. He also gets quite hung up on Rosa leaving him when she makes it clear on a number of occasions that that isn't the case.
Later on some of his and the other character's actions start to make less sense again.
Ran hands out what may be immortality via a contract way too easily to girls he's only met 2-3 times for a short duration. Girls that in that brief time have blackmailed, threatened or tried to control him. Girls that end up in a relationship with him with little to no input from the gals he's already with, something that doesn't fit with his fixation on not being a cheater. Angela and Wisteria being the new gals in question.
Rosa also goes on to make Wisteria her Master over something as small as teaching her b**wjobs the very instant she meets her. Something she does while Wisteria is threatening Ran and she doesn't know anything about her, not even her name. To top it off Wisteria doesn't even have a human tongue but some long spider tongue with a hypodermic poison needle in the middle. (The author turns her b**wjobs into horrifying urethra examining doctor's appointments.) Short of some gene therapy Irene would be a much better teacher if Rosa even needs one. Ran already misjudged her as having done such before when she gave him one previously after all.
It's doesn't seem right that by ch 195 the MC hasn't done the deed with his first girlfriend yet. It really feels like they're getting sidetracked and she's getting left behind by a MC that is incapable of taking any relationship initiative and the regular appearance of new gals getting in the way.
They were sleeping together earlier on and making progress but now they're not and things between them have largely stalled. Also Rosa's been the one doing all the legwork in the relationship from the beginning but Ran hasn't even made a contract with her yet.

Good story. I personally had a few issues with it, and still do, but the main ones have been addressed and clarified in the authors notes. It appears I was mistaken and corrected. It happens. I'll very likely end up reading the story again down the line, when there's more of iyt out.
This is still a review because I couldn't figure out how to delete it.
