Genre and tags are garbage, missing CW, complete bait and switch.

This review is not a spoiler, it is a content warning.  Authors shouldn't be tricking readers.

GL?  Romance? Slice of Life?  Maybe after you get past the Tragedy, Death of Loved Ones, etc that should have been there.  Writing a nice fluffy setup for a dozen chapters just to suddenly switch to a horror show is dishonest at best, remarking that it's "fun" to kill off characters suggests malicious at worst.

At the time of writing this review the rating is 4.8 on 20 votes, it would be interesting to know how many of those ratings were for the early chapters.  I won't claim the author intentionally gamed the ratings because I don't if that was the goal, but it doesn't seem like I'm the only one feeling cheated.

I certainly find it unbelievable that all the deaths weren't planned in advance, yet days after posting that chapter there's still none of the warnings updated.

Maybe I'm overreacting... in the space of 2 chapters:

    • Have a bunch of hunters treating the highly intelligent MagiDeer as barely above inanimate objects
    • So they can gleefully attempt to hunt and genocide the completely pacifist species
    • Not that they seemed to kill them BEFORE cutting a chunk out of their chest to harvest their magic stone
    • Of course, the ones that some how survive that process are as good as brain dead apparently, so you have a nice extra bit of torture for the protagonist when she finds loved ones the hunters didn't finish off.  When she's not literally tripping over corpses, obviously.
    • Did I mention the character is basically still a baby at this point?  I'm sure she'll have no problem surviving alone.
    • The trauma of watching all of this happen in front of her couldn't possibly interfere with the "Romance" that we were expecting in this "Slice of Life" story.

Nah, I think the review is fair.

i think I will not continue this story. Seeing how genre shift handling and writing quality so far.

    about genre shift

    Spoiler

    her herd get slaughtered in chapter 14. There’s no preparation except for few line in previous chapter. Pretty jarring because the mood shift in weird direction. &Nbsp;

    [collapse]

i have also follow author’s another isekai novel. Which has same plot progression.

The tags are very misleading. This turns from a fluff slice-of-life story to a tragedy/survival one. Pick one or the other author, don't half ass it like your doing now. I don't know how it will go on in the future but I have no hope that this is going the revenge route which is such a disappointment.

With that out of the way lets get our thoughts together: Misleading tags, Author who loves torturing MC from a so-called fluff and slice-of-life story, new born deer that is traumatized that will somehow ignore all pain and get romance? Has had Family and friends murdered but there is nothing in the tags that show the MC is going to do something about it. If I had to guess and put my nonexistent faith in this Author at the absolute lowest, Our dear ol' MC may or may not have a grudge against humanity but even if she does the author will find some way to forgive and forget right? You already screwed your start so you might as well go all in and have a revenge story for a good part of this story until our MC gets closure and then focus on fluff and romance. BUT!, our author wont do that right? If you cant tell I have no faith this author is going to write this story right and IF this turns out good i'll come back I guess.

Closing thoughts is that this could be a good story but the author is a liar and is milking and tricking us into reading what we thought was a nice chill story. If you want to at least save this story in my opinion you should commit to revenge and then closure after.
