A young mousefolk who was recently appointed as a guard for her village. Kind-hearted but unfamiliar with the world outside her isolated forest home, she is quick to take an interest in the lives and well-being of the people she meets.

The second of this story's major protagonists.

A young man skilled in the art of magic, having earned the title of arcanist. Though he can be haughty and prideful at times, he seems to mean well. He seeks out shards of a Dragon's corrupted scale at the behest of one Lady Elcevier, aiming to stop the chaos these shards can cause.

A young woman skilled in wielding a sword in combat, she has lived much of her life as a mercenary under the training of Liessa. She's a cheerful person who enjoys spending her time in the company of others.

Aliana's fate appears to be connected with two magic swords. She seeks to reclaim the divine blade Seraphim which was stolen away by some dark creature, and carries with her the mysterious weapon called Moonlight.

Having joined Misha and friends despite somewhat of a rocky first meeting, the wolf eventually named Grey is oddly intelligent for an animal. Stoic yet loyal, it seems as if he has made Misha's journey his own as well.

One of the largest forests on the world's eastern continent of Ochnea. The Orchard Forest is named for the bountiful fruits that grow on many of the trees. Few people travel to this land, however, and the only known humanoid settlement within the massive forest itself is that of a small village of mousefolk.

Little details are known of the forest's depths as a large population of fey beings inhabits it. It is because of these creatures that many of the brave souls that have ventured further in have either become hopelessly lost before finding themselves back at the outskirts, or have never returned at all.
