The multiverse theory is a creator's tool to dish out multitudes of content from the same sub-source. Comics, in general, bear this issue, with the main company behind the creative works re-booting the closed story multiple times and merely stating "It's a different parallel universe".
Dc Comics suffers from this immensely with the constant reboots over the years, any storyline being redone and rehashed. Eventually, we get a genre of superhero comics that are merely "Arc" based with multiple characters. There is no ending in sight for the story as the authors could just destroy one reality and slip into another parallel universe. A never-ending story that eventually grates at one's patience.
Thus, let's rewind the story and enter a parallel universe with an inserted OC who frankly doesn't care about anything, since at the end of the day their life is but a story.
(Don't expect much from this story as its mere existence is to increase my writing skills.)
