In 2202 A.D., the discovery of "Mana" on Earth captivates governments, who invest trillions in researching its energy manipulation. But Earth's limited Mana reserves dampen interest until scientist Gideon Kingston detects strange surges and vanishing individuals. He forms "The Round Table," including brilliant minds like Alexander, Selina, and Geoffrey, to investigate the phenomenon.

They unveil a connection between the surges and people being summoned to other worlds. Panic ensues globally, with some fearing the unknown and others embracing the chance for adventure. "The Round Table" unveils the Kibo, an implanted device fueled by Mana, which adapts hosts to survive in new worlds.

Governments enforce Kibo implants for infants, despite concerns about mind-reading and alterations. "The Round Table" leads in both magical and scientific research, shaping a world dependent on interstellar exploration.

A century later, David Kingston celebrates his 21st birthday, becoming the focus of a story that explores the challenges and adventures faced by "The Round Table" descendants in a Mana-infused world. Amidst the Four Major Species the tale unfolds in a world shaped by Mana and numerous other forces, including the longing for knowledge beyond Earth.
