A wonderful, delightful story with just a Touch of poorly-aimed performative masculinity. The bonus story is also quite lovely, and builds on the primary characters.
After reading this in a day I picked up its epub version in Santa’s Secret Transfic Stash (vol.2) which includes the sequel ‘The Sable and the Statue’, which had a cameo of these characters and was similarly delightful.
Long story short: the worst thing here is when you reach The End and there’s no more to enjoy.
