Basically: I'm not a writer, just pouring out my unfiltered story here.
A typical self insert, very slow start and slower progress. Dungeoneering, fighting, daily life, shifting focus on OC and MC. Shovel to the face with little gained, but trouble is unending.
NO increasingly impossible high stakes, NO gods/demons pulling the strings (just the setup), medium suspension of disbelief.
Very little magic until much later, no cute waifu in sight...damn, all of the above sounds depressing.
