    Status: 45 — cultivation cure

Yo! This story has a well thought-out plot and it shows in every paragraph and story beat.

Cultivation may be a major factor of this series but don't think this is a fight'em (thus far) where arcs are determined by ranks and "my Dao is bigger than yours!" kind of story-structure. The story is driven by desire to journey into the secrets of Qi/Gu/magic itself, the protagonist being a self proclaimed scientist/researcher. A welcome departure from the constant martial aspect of a strength based society.

Characters are not one-dimensional and thus are the forefront of the story. Only the main character really outshines everyone else in pov (like a MC duh). Each having an archetype that doesn't define their entirety. Again a welcome departure to the ever shuffling of 1-d characters most novel employ.

The humor itself is great with little gags being used but not overly so like clock work. A lot of the jokes are on martial cns in general so if don't like that, these very minor parodies might not be your thing. Despite that, a lot of the humor is original and is rather on point.

This novel isn't the most "bestest/perfectest" novel but it's more than worthy of a 5 star as nothing the author has written warrants anything less.

The book is pretty good plot-wise. The MC himself is a normal (kinda?) cultivation reincarnation protag, who has so far taken a pacifist approach to the story. Doesn't really fight, hell, his first "fight" was fought by someone else (unless you count when he got reincarnated, then he "died" in his first fight), and all other fights were fought by someone else or somehow rendered unable to continue without MC killing them. Dunno if this was intentional, but if it ain't or is, was written well. MC doesn't focus on cultivation, isn't some BIG CHAD statue who is in this cuz his parents died or something. Good plot, even without a big main antagonist. Really, the only cliche stuff I see in this is the early lightning cuz MC apparently messed up rule number-whatever-the-hell-this-is, and the classic arrogant roaches (who, thankfully, aren't nobles so far). The main part is that the MC ACTUALLY DOES WHAT THE MC IS SUPPOSED TO DO! MC MAKES QI DRUGS LIKE ADVERTISED AND DEFIES THE BIG DUDE UP TOP WITH SCIENCE AND NOT SLAMMING HIS DOOR AND JUST BEING A CHAD! Overall, high quality, an actual MC that's you can physically read, good characters (the prodigy is kinda funny, and quiet assassin guy/gal/whatever-pronouns-they-wanna-use is interesting), good plot, and an interesting approach to this kinda book. Only complaint? Book uploads real sloooow (just kinda a side effect for quality, but still), and no good fight scenes. Not very many fights, if that's your thing. Give it a try, money back if you think it was a waste of time.
