Synopsis

Jack and Alicia never got along. But they've got bigger problems now.

Teleported off the Earth, they're stuck together in Licirmon, a magical world at war. They've been tasked with a deadly covert mission behind enemy lines, that will push them to their limits and further beyond. Jack and Alicia will find themselves outnumbered, outleveled and outmagicked as they struggle to survive the perilous journey through the brutal realm of the Unceasing.

Updates Wednesdays and Sundays around 11pm EST. Chapter length is usually 1.5-3k words.

Author Note: I do enjoy some good smut but intense, gritty action is my one true love. Expect the fighting and stakes to only get higher and more intense. Expect naughty business in a lesser but significant capacity. Plot>Porn but naughty scenes will always have their place in this story and definitely more than just one per arc.

Warning/Disclaimer: There won't be serious, hardcore Non-Consensual stuff for the lewd scenes but it's definitely toeing the line in a few cases. These elements are crucial to shaping the interactions and development between the main characters.

All characters are over 18. Above all, this is a work of fiction and I do not condone the actions of any characters. Read Responsibly :)
Cover Picture isn't mine, not sure who the Artist is but if it's yours and you want me to take it down I'll happily oblige.

When I first read this? The first ten chapters were excellent. Great pacing and mostly great characters. It felt like a hidden gem to me. But as I read on certain elements began to nag on me and annoy me about the direction and characters. I got pretty pissed with the direction and if that was all I could have still taken a break and come back in a month, but there's fundamental issues with this that turn me off.

First is Jack. This is supposed to be the protagonist, but I can see why people were worried about reverse harem and NTR. This guy just doesn't qualify to be the main protagonist. He has far too much trust for the two goddesses and acts submissive to them in a very annoying way. Don't like Fem dom? I'm sorry, bud. This has it. I really didn't see that coming because he dominated Alica at first. Later it's made very clear she's more of the main protagonist then him and he becomes increasingly more submissive. Then the pacing and power creep. The plot holes? I can't point them out here without spoilers.
    Spoiler

Basically there are a few minor ones. The big one is where you have the lowest possible rank person, Alicia, affecting plot on a god level. She did so by using an array made by Lisa to push her aura Innate in a God level spell array. She did that right after Jack, who Lisa the Bitch didn't bother to make an array for, was healing a Lisa's, a God by the way, soul even minutely at two percent to the point that he got soul wounds himself for said bitch. It was even more infuriating than that to read from a male perspective here. Especially since Lisa Fem Dom's him right after!

That and other things really crashed my rating for this series. Later chapters really could have used some parceling out of exposition, action, and spicy by using outlines and storyboarding to get the tone right. Instead you have a handful of days but feels like months of screen time. It was exhausting at times and I found myself fighting the urge to skim.
    -
Anyway I don't want to spoil anything here. This really just isn't for me at all. I'll get into the rest of my review now.
    -
Minor syntax errors and major formatting errors. Good news for most is that while it might really feel like there will be some other men with these ladies the writer had promised in comments for no NTR or Reverse Harem. Whether they stick to that or not I can't say.
    -
Initially I'll still say that, yeah some of the better character writing I've seen period. But man did it need quality assurance. Like who even is Diana? Barely touched on. The style could be better where description of places being woven in could stand to be better. It gets slightly better later on, but I still forget what everyone and everything looks like most of the time. Senses being woven could be better. Like the first part takes place in a forest, but it's easy to lose your mental image of location. This is something that can be improved over time.

    -
I could see this eventually getting published still if it fixes the tone issues and keeps this quality you see in the early chapters through the hole work or better. The writer does seem to be actively improving and engaging with the audience. That hasn't changed. Answering questions and such.
    -
The blurb could use some work still. I've big thing I'll add is that this needs a Fem Dom tag and warning. Most guys aren't into that. It's not as bad as NTR, but those guys who hangout with the foot fetish and armpit loving dudes. Not trying to kink shame, but point out that a warning would have been nice there with at least a tag for it.
    -
    Anyway...
    -
I did initially ignore this story worried about the man being like they usually are in romance books, but this is not like that at first. At first he was dominant and assertive. What you would expect of a Chad Thundercock. Even goddesses wanted some. It's a serious novel with deep world-building, just needs to parcel it out more efficiently. It reminds me of the game, Tyranny in a lot of ways. It's not as good as that, but it's worth the read if you can get past what I have been hung up on.

I am a sucker for soul bond stories, so take my words with a grain of salt, but I love this book so far. I actually read through the chapters twice, which I almost never do.

    Characters

The characters are likeable and realistic. Their emotions seem appropriate at all times, as if the author put themself in the characters' shoes.

    Grammar

Any grammar mistakes are few and far between.

    Pacing

The pacing of the plot seems good. I don't feel like things are going too fast or too slow.

    Descriptive language

If there is any section of the book that's lacking, it's this. While reading, I often made up my own visualizations of the characters and places since the author mostly focused on feelings and actions when describing things. Despite this, I wouldn't want to sacrifice emotion or soul bond descriptions for better visualizations.

    World building

I feel like I'm learning about the world with the main characters. It feels natural and is fed to the readers at a good pace.

    Soul bond

This is my favorite aspect of the story, and I hope it continues to be the focal point. I love reading about how it affects the main characters and their actions.
