[Welcome to the Dream World. First Mission... Starting.]
I'm an university student with little hope or true ambition. Out of the blue, a message appears in my vision, words that follow my eye movements. They read "English language display test". That night a vivid dream drags me into a white room with orders written on a wall. I'm teleported away. The dream seems too real. The violent events have me returning in that white room with 'points'. Going through the infinite list of exchangeable rewards, I find things I wouldn't be able to imagine even if I wanted to.
The following week, the white room appears again. This time the reward I buy is magical, and back in the real world, covered in wounds, it still works.
But the white room won't stop appearing.
And now my life is neither ordinary nor so peaceful.
Godspeed.

2024 Note: I've fixed inconsistencies, rephrased and fixed grammar on chapters 1 to 24. I didn't change events. I'm now using *[word]* instead of **** for partially unknown languages (I'm sorry, I changed my mind and I agree it was annoying!). I've added portraits and landscapes within the chapters, a total of 36 images in 24 chapters! This will hopefully give a premium reading experience. Images are not very accurate to the text due to my lack of technical skills, they're eye candy! Tell me what you think!
Q: What about new chapters? Why have you been lazy?
A: Chapter 25 is almost done. I don't have a backlog... I wasn't feeling it and was busy with stuffs and then I was lazy... Sigh, this happens too often in this space, I agree and I'm part of the problem, though if readers tried writing they would understand. At least it's not like I only wrote two or three chapters before quitting, my story's word count is like an entire book's worth.
Q: How much content is planned?
A: My design documents suggests that with 25 big chapters, I've gone through a twentieth of the planned content. If I rush through lots of stuff, then I guess I've gone through at most 20% of the total content. Even now, I feel like my design documents are good (not that they're that detailed, it is just a few thousand words long to guide the story). Some twists were planned very early on, enabling me to give certain clues to the reader.
Q: Will we ever see this story end then?
A: Nah, unless a billionaire is a huge fan. I wish things were easier, but writing is jarring and long work. It can easily take 40 times longer to write than read.
Wow. I'm just going to say that you really shouldn't waste your time with this one. Why?
"My words give him a little hint of where he belongs, beyond the wall."
"Seated in class, an annoying black guy with long blonde hair arrives with a skateboard.
He speaks up to me with a high, no-testosterone voice, trying to get my attention.
“Hey Edward! You good?”
At first glance, when he first spoke to me a few months ago, I though he was just being friendly.
But by the third time, I understood him completely. He’s a persistent, raging gay reject.
He keeps approaching me.
A month ago, I even told him to his face I wasn’t gay. He acted like he didn’t hear me."
"Enhanced Immune System 1 corrected these defects from whatever vaccine I had when I was a child."
