Asami, Asami, Asami.... Asami. 

Undeniably, for much of the story, she's a hard and unloving character, the kind that I strongly dislike. She makes choices that I hate.

THAT HAVING SAID! Does that change how good a story is? Some characters shouldn't be perfectly likeable. I'm sure she's someone many people can identify with. Asami is very, very real. She's a selfish young girl who does her best to get by in a harsh world. She doesn't easily open up to others because it can go horribly wrong. Maybe she's afraid to make those connections.

When she does make some connections... nooooooo! No! I won't spoil this at all! Everyone has to witness the wonderful journey you'll be taking if you go along with Asami.

I have faith that in the end, she won't end up in a sad place. Surrounded by love and people who love and understand her.

That having said, I very much approve of this story despite my bias against the main character's nature. She'll sometimes say things that give me bad shivers (the kind where you're scared for your life) when she casually insults people.

As for the Naruto aspect and it being a fanfic, you won't find many such stories as deep as Si Vis.

Overall a good fanfiction with more than enough original elements to have me truly curious as to what was going to happen in the story.

It did not stick too closely to the original story which I both liked and found a tad frustrating. It wasn't what I expected but honestly it was good enough that its divergence from good Naruto scenes didn't hamper the story. It makes sense that the author has started a new book that is entirely original. You can see the talent for it here.

So this book is incomplete. There is much of the Naruto story to still get through, but I can't see the author returning to it. It seems to be because of a lack of readership or community interaction... I'm not entirely sure as I can't find the answer plainly stated somewhere. Point is, the story has been seemingly finished halfway... or at some point through I don't now where.

Edit: The series is currently on hold for rewrites and editing but the Author did clarify it will progress after.

I really enjoyed this work and would have liked to continue reading it but it seems not to be for now atleast. 

It is important for readers to know this, you won't be seeing the parts of Naruto Shippuuden in this story as it didn't get that far in the Naruto Plot.  Though I still think it worth the read.

This isn't to say our MC is a weak Genin/Chuunin. The story diverges alot which is all I will say.

I found the story enjoyable at first, as Asami got to "integrate" herself within the world of Naruto. She's got a strong personality and that's fun. Her mother is protective and loving, cool. But it already felt rushed and superficial (eg, too much "tell" rather than "show"; there were too few actual scenes where we feel the MC cares about her mother). The world exists to showcase the MC; it's not organic, it's completely artificial, and therefore doesn't stand up to any scrutinee. If a 9year old child can beat 3jonins without any preparation, why is she still going to the academy? She is likened to Hitachi, but while Hitachi was accelerated in his career, Asami is left on her own despite signalling red flags everywhere? Her jonin leader is so careless and naive, it'd be surprising if he were even a chunin. Ninjas are like soldiers in a military. Asami's continuous rebellious attitude is... simply unbelievable. She'd get court martialed in a week. It's like the village wants her to feel neglected and rebellious.

It's just a power fantasy, there is no plot. Random enemies with random names show up and they get killed by Asami alone or they retreat. There are no interesting interpersonal relationships.

Decent, annoying MC who says cringy or corny stuff all the time and oh woe is me and I m so superior. Also feels like she knows too much or too little about stuff regularly. 

The plotline also hasnt realy been affected which shouldnt be possible. Her mere presence should change many things and decisions of other characters which isnt happening enough.

Her powerups always feel strange and arent fully explained. The fighting scenes are too short and lack in descriptions. Its just like poof she burned them the end or just an order in which she slaighters them and how but without actual descriptions of the fluidity and how and where and when and the enemy has no reactions at all because she is so fast, at least include how some of them raise their arms or try to cast a jutsu etc. Wo the scenes arent so lackluster.

Overall its still decent.

The story is fraught with uncertainty. Uncertainty is its very essence. You look at it, it looks back at you.

Almost every arc makes 180 turn. Sometimes it seems that it will be a story about a cute and fluffy princess. Sometimes about a murderer in the shadows who has to get her hands dirty for the common good. Next day it becomes a typical fic where the MC interacts with the main cast and sails according canon. And the very next moment she becomes an exile without a definite purpose in life.

Sometimes uncertainty scares, sometimes delights. 

It's hard to say who this story will suit and who won't. This is vinaigrette. Everyone will find something to their liking, but there will always be better representative of this certain liking.

PS It's shame that author decided to completely reflect the canon and give rose-colored glasses to everyone except Asami. One thing is the "Naruto generation", amoebas that grew up in greenhouse conditions. But when veterans of the AMBU experience the dilemmas of "novice heroes", it becomes uncomfortable.
