I have issues with the story. Not that there aren't good things with it. Such as the grammar is very good and rarely come across any grammatical issues.
The main issue I have with the story is just the main character. She acts like she's suffered many hardships in life. But from what I've read from the story, she really hasn't. The catalyst for how her personality started to sour isn't anything that noteworthy either. It's something that happens to most people with animals.
The hardest issue she has is with the royal family. But it is nothing more than some extreme bullying. I never feel that the MC is justified in her anger and sadness to her family. At the worst of times, it just came across as the MC being an ungrateful girl.
But I did find the mother to be the most interesting and likable character. Her and the dog that is. I'm not entirely sure if I like her reason for leaving or dislike it. But, I do wish we got a story about her raising the MC by themselves in the wilderness or so.
Not great in my opinion. But not awful. I'd probably put this story around a 2.5 at least. Maybe a 3.0.
