Synopsis:
Keith, a vieux riche, spoiled and cherished, heir to the Demiliore Consortium, lives his life at large. Power, Wealth, Fame; He has it all.
But is it all just a dream?
With a set of memories, the knowledge of the future, in a play orchestrated by Destiny, knowing well that he is born to be a Villain, will he prevail? Or is he going to fall at the hands of the Child of Destiny just like he did in the nightmare that haunts him?
Author's Note:
Yes, the story is heavily influenced by Urban-Fantasy Chinese Novels. Don't read if you have a problem with those types of plots. 'Cliche' plot elements are bound to appear, so if you easily get triggered by such things, keep away. And I would advise you to not even start the story if you are an ardent believer of 'Good shall prevail over the Evil'. Keep away! MC here is a Villain! But yes, he is not someone deprived of emotions, even though he is a Scum. So, do not expect an outright Evil MC either.
I don't write Netorare. Don't worry about it!

I like this story a lot. The MC is a villain who cares for his close ones dearly, but acts without remorse to those in his away and those against him and his others. If you've read the tags already, you would know this is a villain-harem wish fulfillment story, however it is so very well done. The actions the MC does are calculated and explained and do not ignore the process done to do it. The characters are also unique, and introduced very well with their own stories. Unlike some 2 star review says, he does not forget about his girls he comes to like and care for. It is rather the opposite and spends time with them.

This an excellent novel if you are on board with the premise, otherwise it's still pretty good if you like a few of the story elements and none of the tags are a red flag to you.
The protagonist (Keith) essentially is the fusion of the in-universe character, a villainous figure that was going to meet a tragic end, and a isekai'd consciousness of a person from "our" world that was compelled to read a story that describes the future event of this other world in the shape of urban cultivation/fantasy story.
The protagonist thus can rely on hindsight to try to correct his fate, which involves "stealing" the women fated to be with the protagonist of the book.
The characters are generally entertaining, the protagonist drives the story and is proactive, the girls are relatively likeable and the plot seems ambitious enough and the story takes itself seriously as well.
My favorite girl so far is probably Amelia or Vanessa but there is no one that I particularly dislike.
Given how ratings work on this website or many other such websites, a 5 star is definitely warranted and more than deserved... but obviously the story is far from perfect and here are my main gripes:
1. The protagonist is way too much on the forefront, it's good that he drives the story forward but it would be nice if we could see what happens to other character even when Keith is not there. I especially wish to see how the girls interact with each other, like Amelia and Venessa which I think could have interesting moments or even arcs if they work together.
2. The fact the protagonist is a fusion of 2 personalities is not explored enough IMHO, the original Keith was a rather violent, uncommitted and uncaring person but we can certainly see that either the fusion with the isekai'd person or the knowledge of the future affected him and made him more caring for both pragmatic reasons but also because he genuinely cares about the people around him and I think this change should or should have been explored more.
3. Like the novels this story was inspired by, there is a "system" which ought to help the protagonist fight against the "real" protagonist (s) of the world through "cheats" and special abilities. In short I think that such system break immersion and feel intrusive in what would have otherwise been a more cohesive world, luckily the system doesn't actually matter in the first phase of the story (which runs up to chapter 180 AFAIK) but my fear is that this system is going to look just as intrusive as in the stories that inspired the author. My solution to this problem is to actually have the protagonist explore how the system works, why it exists and to actually not make it external to the world, meaning the system doesn't look omnipotent but relies on some energy source or can be interfered with and thus IS part of the universe.
4.I both appreciate and dislike different parts of the setting, I've grown to like the "family feud" style setting of the main city, I'm fine with cultivation, classic Western magic and such. What I instinctively dislike is the inclusion of Olympian Gods, Norse Gods and so on feels a bit off putting, I'm not sure how the author is going to build a cohesive cosmology out of all different cosmologies from different time periods, it can easily become a kitchen sink, but this is more of a fear than my current opinion.
5. Narratively I think the main problem is the gap between chapters, a lot of the times the start of chapters lack a connecting thread to what happened in the previous chapter or scene, this is bad enough that even when you read the novel in a continuous fashion you can easily be confused at the start of any given chapters. A simple bundle of sentences to connect the scenes would go a long way.
6. This might be controversial given some people might think the story is already rather slow, but sometimes I wish some of the conversations between characters would be showcased more, this ties partially to point 1. but this applies to Keith's conversations with other people, the actual conversation scenes that are in the story are already good so expanding on that can only do wonders, but as I pointed out the story is already quite ambitious in scale and thus it might not have the luxury to extend scenes for too long. I'd personally focus more on point 1. than on Keith's scenes given how prominent they already are.
I hope the author ends up quelling my concerns and expand upon the parts of the story and setting I prefer but even if the story keeps its current trajectory it's going to be an entertaining ride.
TL;DR: Read this, it's pretty good!

A great story in development here. Have loved all the available chapters, and I hope the author will not give up on this story!
The MC is calm and collected, not a hormonal teenager. The Families and the world building are refreshing, as well as the interactions between the MC and other characters.
If you are fine with the warnings and the Tags, do give this story a read. I am sure that you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic, novels like this one is why I don't mind skimming through dozens or even hundreds of terrible novels, because I know that at some point i'll find the gem that is truly worth my time and support.
Honestly the novel is so good it caught me off-guard, I didn't expect the MC to act like a real human being (and not a psycho-mentally ill killer, like in most villain novels, KILL!) this man actually has feelings and you can see it, he also interacts with other characters in a believable way (no "he went X then did Z then skip", you get to read his dialogues with his family/friends/enemies (?), the girls around him are respected (none of that "you're just a girl" trashy writers use), each of them get their own personalities, thoughts, fleshed-out backstories and their interactions are actually fun to read! There's also some lore-feud between the big families (currently at ch53 and only found out about Keith's and Kiara's, Amelia's soon probably) and slowly but surely the cultivation/god powers/etc. Is coming into play.
I know for a fact that there will be faceslapping later on (for now, the "mcs" are still hiding in their shells) but considering how well is the story progressing I'm not worried about it, in fact, I'm looking forward for it.

Very good so far. MC is manipulative but not evil. Harem is looking ok, have to see how it develops. Fate shenanigans might get annoying but nothing dumb has happened yet.

The first and most important thing to point out is that the protagonist is a cruel villain (Don't hesitate, he's truly evil) although sometimes you can confuse him with an antihero, for defeating human scum who have been the protagonist's rivals until now.
This is a surprisingly good novel. Good protagonist with clear motives, secondary characters and waifus that you get attached to, and very good plot.
But unfortunately I have to warn that the story has more +18 action (They are good and interesting s*x scenes) than fights (there are fights, but few). Since in the first... 280 chapters it focuses more on "political actions, conspiracies and manipulations" than on fights. But lately things are getting more lively in terms of fights. And I also have to point out that it has too many waifus to give them all the protagonism they deserve and sometimes you can forget about a waifu.

I hate you author because its SOOOOO FREAKIN GOOOD that now I am trying to find other novels like it!
I mean MC takes care of harem, is helping them get stronger and each of the girls get development as it goes along. I like how it just doesnt keep adding harem members but gives each one moments with MC.
I also like the cultivation and growth.... also how the MC uses his resources to get ahead of the protagonists....
Problem is that I have read and like these ones but hard to find similar ones!
Immortal Only accepts Female Disciples
Naked Sword art
Villain play of destiny

Finally
A healthy amount of character development, story development, world building, and just beautiful nick and detail that a lot of novel just opted out cause those aren't important, and finally the smut, perfectly balanced and not heavily picked like you would expect
Each heroine, have their own problems and solutions and of course, used, yes people, heroines not just flowers to be plucked, but they are functioning as a family should, each and everyone MC associated with have their own stuff happening which is great, awesome, all characters fleshed out
Now I'm in agony and diagnosed with not enough chapter syndrome
Truly devastating

10/10 would read again directly after binging. One complaint is that my weak brain needs a harem thingy in the glossary or somewhere so I can keep track of Keith’s smooth moves.
