Synopsis

Finding himself kicked out of his foster parents’ home on the night of the Emergence, John Doe Smith doubted even his luck could get any worse.

Now irrevocably changed by the Emergence into what many see as a monster, the newly dubbed Wraith must now deal with the consequences of her new powers in an unfriendly world.

This is a canon story is set in the universe of my partner and other half QuietValerie's Valerie. We have have worked long and hard to build up this setting and it's lore.

Echoing Valerie: "This story has LGBTQ themes, Cuteness and Heartache , so if that's not your thing, I'm sorry :)."

I never thought that agreeing to your story being written in my world would end up the way it did. Not just because we're now a couple, but because the stories became so much more than they would have been without becoming interwoven. The kammiverse was a shadow of what it was before you came along.

Together we wove this crazy narrative and together we built off each other's ideas to create this awesome universe. I love throwing ideas at you, only to have you throw it back with even more ideas. I think at points we might have gotten a little out of hand in our excitement, but that's what makes this all so much fun.

Your writing is so damn great to read. I have trouble reading web-fiction these days, but within a paragraph or two of reading your writing I find myself immersed despite my pestilential brain. Thank you so much for being you and for writing this wonderful story about a cute grumpy girl!

Songbird is beautiful story of suffering and recovery. Even in the darkest moments it is delightful to read. Set in the Kammiverse, Songbird expands upon the city in which Kammi Kettu is based. It expands upon characters and events mentioned there, and thanks to the close (hehe very close) cooperation between the two authors, the stories weave in and out of each other to create drastically different perspectives of a dark but vibrant world.

Trashlyn's narrative voice in this story is witty and dry, lending itself to the wonderful protagonist. Through all their struggles, the main character maintains a really strong personality which resonates their determination and inner strength. The character is charming and likeable, and we feel their pain and ride their highs with them the way the best stories seem to manage. The side characters are just as interesting and one finds themselves drawn to them and developing strong emotional relationships with them just as the author links them seamlessly together.

Loved this story! It's a great addition to Kammi Kettu, but in the say way some might think it's a weakness that it can't be as enjoyed without reading the other.

It didn't matter to me, I would even say that the decision made both stories into so much more than they could individually be!

I devoured this story like I had a hunger that could not be sated until Robin was safe and well.

Lots of cw for each individual chapter, which I'm thankful for since it's not every day I can face some stuff.

Awesome story about a girl's journey from being abandoned and alone to having family friends that she can depend on.

This story is set in the same universe as QuietValerie's story, "Kammi Kettu" and features chapters that contain the same events but told from different perspectives of the main characters of each story. I had a lot of fun struggling to decide which perspective to read when I got to those intersecting chapters on each story.

This was such a rollercoaster ride. I read it shortly after moving to a new city and was feeling lonely, separated from friends and family. As a result, the feelings of isolation and desperation really resonated with me. I was immensely happy to find themes of validation, redemption, and found family in this story. Definitely one of the best books I've read on Scribble Hub. Thank you for sharing it with us!
