Its a very slow burn and some fight/events can take 10+ chapter as the author likes to show the perspective of multiple people. It has few long time skips, like it skips days or weeks but after 250 chapters it feels like barely any time has passed.

If you like detailed explanations than its 5 stars. Personally was 4 stars for me, skipped most of the dungeons parts as they felt semi pointless or over drawn out. Would still highly recommend giving a read.

I have been actively following this fic for quite some time and I have to say, I am very impressed.

1. The gamer system is by far incorporated in the best ways possible for a world like Naruto. Most fanfics take the short way out by making MC overpowered very early into the fanfiction. This is a terrible mistake that is carefully avoided here. This has to be, the best gamer system design for naruto in my opinion. I love "Game of Shadows", a very popular fanfiction, but it barely made use of the much coveted system. Eiji there is given a system that is not well incorporated in the world setting.

2. The MC is like an actual person. Many fics try to portray a teenager as braty and arrogant. They are made so in order to move the plot and show vulnerability. Here, the boy is actually very focused, he is not stupid enough to give to impulses. He does mistakes but they are very less in number.

3. I HATE EDGELORDS. Thank god this is not an edgy MC. Many fics tend to give an unnaturally ruthless personality to their main characters, in order to make them cool. These are some of the worst tropes in fanfictions. What we need is neither a hero nor a edgelord. We need a stable grey character who has atleast some integrity in them.

4. I may not be a grammer Nazi but I do feel this is a very well written story.

5. There is a lot of chakra mechanics mentioned here that I really like. (They appear later in the story).

The Story So Far has great pacing and the MC isn't as dumb as a box of rocks like a lot of other stories that I have read I recommend this story 😀

The story is okay-ish. Protag wants to be the strongest to be free, understandable but classic and unoriginal. Might as well have no goal at all for all the difference it makes. Also suffers from holding the occasional idiot ball for no particular reason. On the up-side protag isn't either completely clueless, nor is he a sociopathic murder-hobo as is too often the case in fanfics.

The game system is average, classic Gamer System that is poorly understood by both the protag AND the author himself. On the upside at least it's not sentient and there's no Party sub-system (yet?).

The writing is above average. Few to no typos or grammar issues but lots and lots of clues that the author doesn't really re-read his own work as some the few that exist and a lot of plot points just come up two, three, or even four time in a row. Might not be an issue if reading the chapters one per week, but reading the story in one go makes it very flagrant.

The setting itself is solid so far, no AU weirdness aside from necessary (and admittedly interesting) OC characters, and most named characters are generally faithful to their canon personality (the exception being pre-massacre Sasuke who somehow inherited a big chunk of his post-massacre personality...). ~~The setting magic chakra is also generally faithful to Shippuuden Naruto Lore~~, and the story's pace is, while maybe a bit slow for some, entirely within the realm of reasonable so you'll actually want to read each chapter.

[edit] some strange AU weirdness has been added in Genjutsu, seemingly for the express purpose of nerfing protag and his Gamer Mind immunity to mind alterations.

Generally a solid if un-exceptional Naruto fanfic.
