He died from overwork on the job when he was in a stupor from pulling 4 all-nighters and fell to his death in an elevator shaft when they were repairing the elevator.

           In his new life, one of the first things he saw was his mother, Nephele Kutaisi, the captain of the Hera Familia known as The Empress. Abandoned early in life for his benefit, he felt some resentment for her but was taken in by Fels. He would learn over time who his mother was from a level-up paper from the guild, finding his mother as a level 9.

           He asked Fels what it means to be part of a powerful Familia and they responded with “A constant gaze like that of a predator seeking the right time to kill the prey, waiting for anything to give it an advantage.” Their words to him now made sense and why her tears were genuine to him at that moment.

           He would then begin to read and learn about this world as best as he can to one day reconnect with his mother but sadly, he never would, the pain would have been great if not for Fels already filling in the role of a parent to him.

Our protagonist Cirrus Zephyr at age 22.

Shirakusa Ai later

Born in the Far East, Yamato to the Shirakusa clan, a small clan under the service of the Gojouno Family. But given that she is the youngest child her second older brother Ayumu went to work for them while the eldest came to work for Amaterasu along with the eldest daughter Aki also came under the Empress's service until she established a new order of Samurai to replace Susanoo's.

While the third daughter of the Shirakusa's, Ayumu married into the Ebisu Familia, Ai joined Susanoo's order of Samurai the Oceanic Samurai. Unfortunately she was not there for to long and about a few months since she joined she was already leaving her homeland behind of her own choosing.

The Susanoo Familia then traveled to Orario to grow in strength and in turn make money, money in which will be used to have a sword made of such value to be worth a nation to return home.

Candidus Nox or more simply just Nox, she is of the First Generation of Spirits created by the gods in their likeness.

Contracted to Cirrus when he was traveling through the desert. As the one who freed her and paired with the contract she made with him she will be with him even after death.

She also holds Cirrus in a much higher regard then everyone else, the only one who holds as much regard as Cirrus was her creator, Nyx.

She is known by her fellow Spirits as the Grand Spirit of The White Night, though that is her classification in terms of power none of the spirits that exist in the current era know of her. Only the gods of old who have managed to stay in Gekai for 1000 years knew her name and title.

Prior to meeting Cirrus and being sealed Nox was with a group of Contactless Spirits lead by Vento, The Spirit of The Golden Breeze. The group was comprised of Spirits of gods who get along with one another. They were a happy traveling group looking for anyone to form a contract and begin to help Humanity.

Eventually some Spirits found them and attacked them. Nox used her magic for the first time and from there Zeus's Spirits found one of Nyx's Spirits. Thus they chased. Of all the Spirits Zeus asked them to hunt Nyx's were the top priority. Why he sent them? Well it is because Zeus wished to inflict such a deep pain onto Nyx for warding him off against Hypnos.

After literal years of chasing her through several kinds of environments they had worn Nox out in the desert. They sealed her using the sealed used for monsters and that was that.

Nox now being in a isolated place lived off her own mana. She screamed to be let free but all was in vain.

She would eventually just sleep.

She slept all until someone came to her temple, picked up a rusty sword and slid down the stairs.

Circe, the Unique Spirit of Witchcraft.

A very petite spirit who escaped from the Spirit Hunt which lead to several First Generation Spirits and even some from her 1.5 generation, which were created towards the very tail end of the 1st generation and into the 2nd generation into runaways.

She had spent several centuries on a Island, cut off from the world both by the sea and from her magic which can create a barrier.

She is not a Spirit created for combat like Nox, no she is a Spirit created for support. Her specialty lays in her Alchemic and Crafting prowess. But because she wasn't created doesn't mean she isn't able to fight back no she has a good variety in terms of combat, defense, and healing.

Since she usually spends more time in Lenoa's shop she gained the name of Little Witch by the people.

Much like Nox she also holds Cirrus in a high regard but unlike Nox she holds her creator Hecate and Lenoa on the same level as Cirrus. She does have a soft spot for Ais.

Artemis, the Goddess of The Hunt.

She met Cirrus when he was 10 years old when she and her Familia were investigating a monster. When they arrived at the town of Orkney. She saw a figure wearing a mask and without hesitation assumed it was either the monster or the one responsible for the letting the monster go.

After clearing up the misunderstanding and joining in the hunt she and Cirrus along with the rest of her small Familia went to track and hunt more monsters Evilus set loose to spread the forces of Orario.

It also their first hunt, the Nuckelavee that resulted in her beginning to develop feelings for Cirrus unknown to her as she never known love before then.

It wouldn't be until five years later where she would fully understand and pursue Cirrus. Of course by then Cirrus had gotten with Ai and with her excuse of Cirrus cracking the moon which is the symbol of all lunar gods she had the right to give him a punishment for defiling it. She used that excuse to try and be with him and had it not been for Aphrodite putting her title as Goddess of Love to work did she convince her to let Ai also marry Cirrus with the condition that Ai will be the second wife.

Malion Dökk Nida 

Over her travels she would eventually arrive at Orario. There she was met by two godddess, Hera and Freya. They both asked her to join their Familia to which she gave them a offer that would appease them both, a coin flip. Hera won the flip and so Malion joined the Hera Familia and over time became their Vice-Captain.

Years later and of the many talented and skilled members of the Hera Familia, Malion was the sole functioning member left after the Black Dragon. After that she spent years working through her trauma of the event only for Hera to find her and have her help with something which lead her to meeting Cirrus.

From a young age, from the time he could hold something, Ai and Cirrus saw he has a love for the sword so from a early age Ai began to teach him, slowly building up and polishing his talent.

Due to Hecton and Fafnir, Haku and every other child from Cirrus are naturally more stronger and smarter. Haku had more of Hecton's intelligence as by a early age Haku had more or less read the entirety of Artemis Familia's library. He is still naturally stronger then most his age.

Currently he is 8 years old and living in Fuyukusa with his mother, Ai, in attending school there. Doesn't really care for the academic nature of it but rather it's swordsmanship. He also enjoys sparing with his friends, Retsu and Musashi.

The daughter of Artemis and Cirrus, a miracle that would flip the world on it's head if they knew she was a genuine Demigod. From those who knew Artemis when she was recently came into existence they all noted that Callisto acted very similarly to her, a proud child who loves to be praised for her abilities. A tomboy who loves to be active as much as she loves her father. To hide her identity Cirrus made her a special magic item to change her hair color, give her fox ears, and hide her divine-like aura so she can pass as Ai's daughter.

Her love for her father was something that surprised many who saw her affections, many would assume she would be a momma's girl but instead she was a daddy's girl. 

Being 2/3rds God along with the influence from her father, she also has a good blend of Hecton and Fafnir. Her body is physically stronger then her older brother, with a good head on her shoulder. When it comes to archery or hunting she is a natural born monster of talent, second only to her mother, Artemis.

When thinking of a way to help Humanity the gods gave the people of Gekai their children, Spirits.

Of all the spirits the First, Second, and Third Gen were the most powerful.

First generation's like Nox are only dwarfed in power by the gods themselves. They took too much after them and were not very human compatible. In most cases the contractors all die from exhaustion of the Spirits using their magics, other's die along with their contractors as per their contractors dictating the Spirit give their existence to them. Such contracts were very, very common.

Of course the first generation knew of their flaws from their fellow generation discovering it. From that knowledge lived by making shallow contracts which allowed them to help humanity for much longer. But when the gods gave out their Falna the true might of the first generation reared it's face. When using the Falna of their contractor they can amplify their existing magic and bring it up to the realm of gods. After this was learned the Spirit Hunt got kicked into overdrive.

Second Generation Spirits like Aria (Ais's mom) were the most Humanity compatible, a little to much. When their contractor uses their spirits magic they are able to fight a Spirit of Nox's caliber, granted you will need at least 10 or maybe 15 to try and kill her (When Nox is powered by a Falna it would take at least 50 to kill her alone.).

Much like with the first generation the second also had their devastating defects. When they make a contract with one of the opposite sex they can have children with them alone. Children of the Spirits were named Nephilim. Their has only been one who lived to adulthood, the rest were slaughtered because of that adult's actions and strength.

Third Generation, these Spirits were the perfected recipe the gods finally mastered, they had a good balance of strength and human compatible. In this generation you have a lot of Spirits who turn into weapons or objects.

They are the basis in which Spirits were created from then on.

Fourth Generation. They are merely normal Spirits who were created for quantity over quality. Their nothing special about them, aside from the Heroes they contracted with.

The Spirit Hunt: The Spirit Hunt was a period of time that lasted far longer then expected and began just the same. It all began when Humanity was starting to get footholds in the world, then of course the god's themselves, stirred things up. One day a god created a spirit and before they sent them down to help humanity they told their Spirit to find and kill the spirits of the god they had a petty disagreement with. Sure enough the Spirit did it and it caught the attention of all the gods. Once blood was spilled it all kicked off and it lead to a Darwinistic environment leading to the births of many powerful heroes to take to the stage with their Spirits while the weaker ones either died or lived in hiding. Few Spirits were chased relentlessly, such is the case for Nox who was primarily chased by Zeus's Spirits all across the continent. 

Corrupted Spirits are Spirits that are freshly reborn and lack a sense of rationality, they act more like a monster with a person's insanity. Their appearance is also a reflection of that as they are like Cysticercosis to the monster they were put into. They can gain their mind and even body back after consuming a massive amount of magic stones, the higher quality the faster and better.

They can also draw in magic from the air as they are still not fully monster and not fully Spirit.

Demi-Spirit are Corrupted Spirits who gained their rationality back either by consuming Magic Stones or their ego as Spirits were flexible and strong enough to accept circumstance. Their bodies are a hybrid of monster and Spirit and they are in harmony.

In exchange for rationality and the inability to absorb magic from the air Demi-Spirits gained a Monsters physical and magical superiority. So long as they keep eating magic stones their strength and magic will increase.

There is classification on a Spirit's strength.

1. Grand Spirits. They are entirely comprised of First Generation Spirits.
2. Spirit Kings. They are comprised of the Generation 1.5 and some from the Third Gen.
3. Great Spirits. They are made of mostly of the Third Gen.
4. Spirits. They are entirely comprised off Spirits from the Fourth Gen.
5. Unique Spirits. These Spirits vary Spirit from Spirit in this classification. These Spirits are majorly made from the in-between of Generations so they are comprised of Gen 1.5 and 2.5's.
