Quick warning: as of chapter 38 I imagine anyone who has actual experience of an emotionally abusive partner will be, for want of a better word, triggered by a certain recurring character - read the spoiler below for details.
Otherwise this is quite an enjoyable slice-of-life with a decent pace, though the short chapters makes it feel slower than it really is due to less detail of each scene and the quickly increasing chapter numbers while the story doesn't seem to advance all that much. That said, I would probably still rate this a 5 if it weren't for the above-mentioned character being very close to ruining the story for me.
Marion's behaviour is very troubling. His personality / behaviour in regards to our MC has many traits of an abusive relationship: obsessive, possessive, controlling, manipulative, demanding, unnaturally jealous, and trying to keep her under surveillance. This goes beyond being manly and assertive, it's honestly very disturbing to read the sections written in his POV or about his feelings. Not to mention she is currently underage. If Marion and the MC are going to get together, I seriously hope it's after he has been through substantial character development. He's f**king creepy and I really hope the author doesn't actually think that sort of behaviour is acceptable. Though the fact the MC sees him as dangerous and a little creepy is a sign of hope.

Hi, today I just binged your 32 released chapters and I am in love with your story, I like the characters, the setting of almost a reverse isekai, the slow romance (although I do not like aggressive/possessive characters that much) and the overall objective of Sorcha entering the army, loving the pacing that does show her interacting with other characters and her actually training and not skipping everything.
