Don't take mature tag to heart it's only for show. The story is good for you if you can handle a stereotypical Japanese MC. The story is good it is not for me maybe it is for you. You should atleast give a try.

The story isn't horrible but the MC is kind bland. The character motivations are boring or just lean heavily into stereotypes which don't always make logical sense. The whole interaction with the two gods just seemed kinda forced and boring. They waited 1.7 billion years but couldn't spend more then a few days teaching him? They waited that long and the whishy washy, kinda pathetic and self hating personality which eventually committed suicide is what they were looking for in a inheritor disciple? The MC hasd no ambitions or redeeming qualities other then he isn't a piece of sh*t.
The author switches between diffrenet POV's while writing in the present tense but he also constantly breaks the 4th wall and writes as if there is a narrator and this is just a story being told. Pick one as trying to force both just makes it confusing and annoying to read.
