The title seems to suggest a fanfic about a regular guy isekaied into the world of DxD, and doing their best to survive the shenanigans of the canon cast, but by chapter 9 it was obvious that this is going to be a generic power fantasy.

To the author's credit, this is written with good grammar, and is a good first novel. However it is not my cup of tea.

Read chapters 1 to 9 [before thinking you know what will happen] and that will give you a good understanding of the MC and story direction... good stuff, I can say based on what I have read and the authors storytelling. Plus he stays close to the canon author in feel and writing style. A treat for a true DxD [Harem] fan! ? Its PG-13 so..... This DxD is for you if you like: Rias, Issei, Devils, Peerages, No Smut, and a Nice Guy MC! The only real downside is 1/week update!

First let's talk about some of the problems-

1. The title itself is a big lie and no argument whatsoever is going to make it right. Anyone with the power of a longinus in DxD is not random, or even close to it; our MC is someone whose longinus comes from the

2. The very first thing that he did after transmigrating was telling the very fact that 'hey I am from an alternate universe where you guys are a part of anime and I know everything about this world' which to me is utterly stupid, like you are telling all this to a devil who could very well capture you and make you rot for your entire life.

Now someone would say that Rias is not like that, she wouldn't treat anyone like that and I would say that yes she is somewhat good, but really? She is a devil whose very existence is selfish and greedy, she had left Issei to die even when she knew what might happen just for her own profit.

So yeah, it was a pretty stupid decision if you ask me.

3. The writing syle is not really upto the mark, it feels more of a narration in the Discovery Channel rather than a story in a book.

4. Updates are too slow; 1 chapter a week makes your attraction rate lower.

And there are a few more, but I don't really want to write that.

As for pros-

Harems are synonyms with DxD, and by this point he is doing a good job with that, so yeah, that's a major pro.

Good knowledge of anime and light novels, which we don't see very often

No lemons, I hate lemons.

Overall 4 stars..

I Reincarnated into High School DXD as a Random Guy

a good title and makes me want to read, but it seems not for me to read because it is not to my taste.

somehow MC is so naive, whether MC is an adult in question. Instead of avoiding the butterfly effect, he immediately made a storm.

Whatever it is, is the random guy in the title just decoration because MC is very influential in the main story. I don't know how it goes because I read this story briefly I can't read because of MC who was so naive for no reason in his previous life.

Whatever it is, for those who like to read, I hope you enjoy the fanfic. I'm leaving here because I realize that it's not the type of fanfic I envisioned. Thx author

The best thing about this one is that the MC isn’t insanely strong so early in the series. Most DxD series focus on harem and will make the MC strong enough to be in the Top 10 within 1-10 chapters. I love how the MC has to grind his way into power despite having a super strong sacred gear.

I like this story a lot. If I were to choose something I don't like about it, it would be both the grammar and how the MC is acting like an Alpha one moment then a Beta the next (but at least he's not acting like a Simp)

except for the comedy at the start this is a good ff the MC is also a chill dude, thow I have to say if I was in his place I would be obsest with POWER and would foces on it a lot more
