The Dark Elves are an ancient race thousands of years old that lives upon Equis. For the last one hundred years, the Dark Elves have been expanding their influence and power, annexing the vast majority of surrounding countries. Their technological might and their will to dominate made them impossible to stand against. As it stands, the Dark Elves are the most powerful force on the planet and have enslaved the citizens of Equestria.

Unlike Humans, the Dark Elves were once thought to be a peaceful race.

A mix of the three pony races: Strength of an Earth Pony, flight of a Pegasus, and magic of a Unicorn. Alicorns are well known to have a vast sum of magical and physical power, as well as huge swaths wisdom. The Alicorns were seen as gods among the common folk, but that was proven wrong when three of the four were murdered. The current and last Alicorn remains Princess Twilight Sparkle.

The Orith are an alien scourge bent on annihilating all of humanity. Their features are avian, and they often grow chitinous like material on their bodies that act like armour. Their weapons and and armour are several centuries ahead of Humanity's own. The Orithian onslaught has come to a stalemate when the United States joined the interplanetary war. 

Humans are myths in Equestria, their culture dating back to the dark ages. They are said to be as old as the god, Discord, and just as powerful. They were thought to have been erased from the face of the Equis due to internal wars and turmoil, but all true, written events were destroyed by Princesses Celestia and luna. Humans were known to have technology so advanced, it could compete with magic.

Changelings are a race of quadruped insect-like creatures. Their bodies are covered in a chitinous material that functions as a natural armour. The Changelings speak their own language, but due to their reintroduction to the world, they have grown accustomed to speaking the common tongue (English/Equish). Changelings can fly, use magic, and shapeshift into nearly anything living. Their main source of food is emotion, the most nutritious of which is Love.

The last surviving hive is ruled by the tyrannical Queen Chrysalis, who is allied temporarily with Emperor Dommik BlueBlade. The Queen's power is immense, and her magical capabilities are as old as the world itself.

The Ranger Special Task Force is a secretive program funded by the United States government. Key individuals both in and out of the military were selected to participate in the event.

The program was first introduced when the Orith menace broadcasted to the world of their imminent invasion, but due to setbacks, didn't officially start until just after the Orith invaded southern Africa. 

Each soldier produced from the RSTF program are biologically engineered and enhanced, making what could be described as the ultimate super-soldier. 

RSTF Operators were trained by volunteers from the Rangers, JSOC, and the CIA. By the time the war reached North America, the RSTF was fully operational, and were detrimental in repelling the invaders from the mainland. 

Sergeant Dean was in his seventh year as an RSTF operator, and was the only member of his squad of three to survive the Ohio Research Facility ambush. He escaped the facility using an experimental wormhole called a Rift, and is presumed Missing in Action by his superiors. 

The Gryphon Empire was separated into many warring states after a great civil war. Their war-like nature and greedy tendencies left their territories scattered and corrupt. However, upon the Dark Elves taking over Equestria, the Gryphons, under the leadership of High Emperor Bloodbeak, united the Empire and sent a small relief force to help in the defense of the Crystal Empire. They were crushed, but the information on Elven technology was crucial in the development of firearms. For two years since then, the Gryphon Empire has warred with the Dark Elven Empire, but were quickly losing ground. Upon Dean's arrival into the world, the capitol, Gryphonstone, was surrounded and under siege. 

RSTF First Sergeant Dean Forrester, who goes by Sergeant Dean or Dean, is a biologically engineered human and supersoldier. Battle hardened and a veteran, Sergeant Dean was bred for one purpose and one purpose only: War.

Upon entering Equestria via a Rift in time and space, Dean will have to play the part of a hero, find a way home, and contend with his own inner turmoil. 

He has adopted the name, "Demon in Metal" and sees the Dark Elves as nothing more than a menace needing to be stomped out. His skill in combat as well as his hyper-advanced technology have made him feared throughout the Dark Elven Empire. 

Sergeant Dean Forrester is the only Human on Equis.

Princess Twilight Sparkle is the last remaining Equestrian Princess and Alicorn. Having escaped the Dark Elves by the skin of her teeth, she must find a way to survive and stay hidden. Ridden with guilt, distrust, and trauma, Twilight must learn to accept her past. Should she be captured, then Equestria as a whole will be doomed. 

Emperor Dommik BlueBlade is the current and longest standing Emperor of the Dark Elves. His magical power and hatred for friendship and harmony has allowed him to conquer his foes. However, Emperor Dommik holds a very dark secret, one that may bring revelation or destruction upon the inhabitants of Equis.

With five of the six Elements of Harmony, Dommik has nearly completed his goal of world domination and total power. 

The Guardian, sometimes known as the Archangel or the protector, is a mysterious figure trapped in stone atop Canterlot mountain. The only person who knows the Guardian's true power is Sergeant Dean, but even then, his knowledge is limited.

The majority of the Guardian's powers are unknown, but so far, he has shown the ability to enter one's conscious, fly, and acquire super strength and speed. 

Trignar Blueblade is the second youngest child in the line of Elven Royalty. His arrogance and overconfidence are well known through the Empire, and it was no surprise when this led to his downfall. Trignar is presumed dead by the majority of Dark Elves, but is currently being held prisoner in Maritime Bay. 

Even though he tried to commit sinful acts upon her, Trignar has become a point of attention for Princess Twilight Sparkle.

The Demon, the anti-angel, the antithesis and archenemy of the Guardian, is a god like being similar to her counterpart. Unlike the Guardian, she uses the corrupted powers of the Great Old One, and has a massive range of influence even while restrained. The Guardian and the Destroyer have been locked in combat for nearly three years, and their battle was temporarily put on standstill when both were imprisoned by the Elements of Harmony, albeit with different effects. The Destroyer was cast into an orb and was later found by the dark Elves. 

She is responsible for the majority of conflicts on the planet Equis.

Spike is Twilight's "little Brother" and was only recently rescued by Sergeant Dean. Having gone through so much abuse and torture, he carries with him reluctance, fear, and mistrust. So far, Dean has taught him basic hand to hand combat. Spike is in his mid-teens.

Queen Chrysalis is the current monarch of the Changeling hive. She rules with an iron hoof, and is currently allied to Emperor Dommik BlueBlade of the Dark Elves. While her methods could be seen as evil and vile, her intentions are solely focused on the protection of the Changeling Hive. At the current stage of Dark Elven rule, Chrysalis's hive is the last in existence, putting her species close to the line of extinction.

Queen Chrysalis holds a deep hatred for Prince Shining Armour as well as his sister, Twilight Sparkle. Her magic is assumed to be on par or slightly more powerful than that of the Emperor, as she is as old as the world itself.

She is the last Changeling Queen in existance.

Lt. Midnight Flow is a weathered veteran and high rank within the Equestrian Resistance. He is known for being an extremely stealthy flyer, and a terrifying fighter. He intercepted Dean, Twilight, and Trignar on their walk back to their cave base, and quickly grew close with the Sergeant. From then on, Midnight has looked up to his Human compatriot and is a member of the Resistance "elite squad" composed of five other ponies and Dean. 

Maritime Bay is located right next to the Lunar ocean on the West side of Equestria. It is secluded from most civilization and was rarely regarded as a major area. The city was able to be hidden before the Dark Elves could acquire its location. 

Maritime Bay is the current headquarters of the Resistance.

Once a beatiful, nature oriented city, Ponyville has been turned into an industrial powerhouse of sorts. It remains as one of the many industrial sites throughout Equestria, the second biggest next to the Crystal Empire. Here, ponies are used as slaves and free labour. It is also the main hub for the slave trade. 

The two armour/exosuit began development as the war between Humanity and the Orith waged on. It provides better protection, physical enhancements, as well as a more diverse range of capabilities. The Mk. II comes with an encased helmet made from reverse engineered Orithian technology and contains information that would otherwise be seen on a tac-pad or eye-piece.  Sergeant First Class Dean Forrester currently wears this suit as the prototype fabricator contained the plans for the project.

Dean's favoured side arm. It is a fifty-caliber pistol that fires an experimental slug containing an unknown compound called compound-X. The bullet, when fired and lodged into something, will explode with enough force to tear through metal plating. Somehow, shrapnel is limited, and the bullet activates upon being stuck. Should the ammo containing compound-X be expended, the weapon is designed to fire a standard D-50 50. Bullet. The attachments on this weapon are a prototype silencer, green laser-sight, and extended magazine.

The dubbed "Flying Asgardian Boats" are utilized by the Dark Elves in nearly every sector of their military. Their uses range from transportation, to bombing, and their decent speed makes them a high threat to the Equestrian Resistance. These machines can fly twice as a fast as a Pegasi, and seemingly never run out of fuel with their magical gems. So far, Dean has not seen one in action.

The Elven tank hybrid is analyzed to be a cross between a British Mk.IV and a German Panzer. (Think WH40K) So far, little is known about this powerful vehicle other than the fact that it has magical capabilities in the right hands or hooves.
