Lemma Pumping

Lemma

Protagonist of the novel, and formerly known as Rinna Pumping before she died. Daughter of Ile Pumping and Carlo Pumping and sister of Zen Pumping.

Formerly had a sharp jawline and tan-skin, full of scabs and bruises from playing on the streets of the slums. Very energetic and playful, sometimes rash.

Until Chapter 5:

Once she became a robot, her face is smooth and round. Straight, white hair. Eyes as blue as the sky. She looked like a living doll. She remembers everything, has only her mind that made her human. She became a bit cheeky because of this. She became terrified of vehicles because she couldn't forget the painful feeling and the sight of her brother.

Until Chapter 7:

After several upgrades, she became able to forget. She also started to eat, drink, sleep, dream, and several other stuff after some upgrades/downgrades by her father at her request to grow normally into a normal person. She still excelled in classes despite of this and attended the prestigious Republic Science Academy of the Philippines.

Becomes best friends with Lawrence Zy and Sophia Feliciano. They frequently hang out watching robot-related stuff and sometimes allows her friends to tinker with her.

Carlo Pumping

Father of Lemma Pumping and Husband of Ile Pimping. Very protective of his daughter and will do everything to protect his family. Gathers bottles in the day to earn what little money does it make.

After Chapter 3:

Seems to have immense knowledge in robotics and artificial intelligence, which made Rinna survive in the form of a robot. He performs many upgrades and downgrades to Lemma on his secret computer room on the basement of his house in the slums.

After Chapter 16:

Formerly known as Tomoya Hagiwara from Japan. He was a world-class scientist who was known for his thesis on the replication of the nervous systems of simple lifeforms. He fell in love with his colleague Sachi Tokimura, who died after a suicide, but because of their experiments, was able to recreate her with the being called Chisa. It was revealed that Chisa was the one who told Tomoya to live a new life just as she was able to, and to call himself Carlo, meaning free man. Escapes to the mountains of interior Japan and eventually into the slums of the Philippines, where no one will know him.

Sophia Feliciano

Sophia

Daughter of the secretary of the Department of Science and Technology. Very thoughtful and will defend her friends. Light-skinned, average-height, and wears glasses with severe nearsightedness.

After Chapter 10:

Best friend of Lemma Pumping and Lawrence Zy. They all bonded from their Star Class at the 4th grade after they discovered their mutual interest in robots. Harsh towards Lawrence, but soft to Lemma.

Lawrence Zy

4th son of Horace Zy. Because of his upbringing, he is pompous and arrogant towards what he perceives lower-class than him. Quite chubby and short for most of his childhood.

After Chapter 18:

Spoiler

Becomes friends with Lemma and Sophia after discovering their mutual interest with robots, with Lawrence knowing Lemma being a robot herself.

    Status: Chapter 16: Farewell

    This is the first review I'm ever writing on Scribblehub and I'm gonna admit that the concept for this novel is surprisingly unique and refreshing. I've been looking for this kind of plot for who knows how long and this fits my preferences perfectly (I don't know if my English even makes proper sense but I'm trying my best over here ;-;). 10/10 if the pacing stays the same as it is now.
