Otome Game, Otoge

An otome game, otoge for short, (乙女ゲーム literally translated as "maiden game" from Japanese to English) is a role playing video game targeted primarily at a female audience. Most often the player takes the role of a heroine whose main goal is to develop a romantic relationship with one or more "capturable" bachelor targets. Most often rival/villainess characters appear in otome games to antagonize the heroine's romantic ambitions. Depending on the player's decisions throughout the story there are often multiple different romantic routes and endings. These endings can generally be split into 2 different types, bad ends and good ends. In good ends the heroine can expect a "happily ever after" conclusion to their life. In bad ends everything from trivial grievances to catastrophic  death can occur to the heroine.

Note: In most good ends (good for the heroine) the rival/villainess characters often experience their bad end. A bad end for a villainess character is often far more harsh and brutal than a bad end for a heroine. Financial ruin, social exile, criminal charges, imprisonment, death, torture, loss of status/nobility/rank, slavery, a maimed/mutilated body, broken engagements, rape, and many more bizarre/horrible ends are typical. Sometimes the punishment is well deserved due to the villainess' corruption and misdeeds, while other times the punishment is disproportionately large, however, the punishment is rarely if ever paltry.

Characters
Garnet Noire Valeria
Garnet was supposed to play the role of a villainess in a mysterious and unknown otome game world. However,  another person inexplicably transmigrated and found themselves in her body. The new Garnet is paranoid, secretive, cautious, and entirely focused on surviving her situation.
Location
Kingdom of Erudotti

Erudotti, also known as The Kingdom of Spirits, is the main country where the story takes place.

Royal Magic Academy of Eru

The Royal Magic Academy of Eru is an elite educational institution where only those who are sponsored, have talent, or come from affluent families have the privilege of attending. It is a highly elitist institution where the level of treatment greatly differs based on an individual's status. Young talents from poor backgrounds whose boarding fees are heavily sponsored by the state are expected to serve the Kingdom upon graduation, while those from affluent families are expected to take roles of leadership within the Kingdom.

I created an account just to make a review.

It's so good. I can't believe I'd read something of this quality in here. I can only imagine how much time was poured into making it like so.

It's so engaging, it's like I'm actually the one thrown into that foreign world. I felt like I'm walking on a tightrope, treading the unknown, feeling desperation, urgency, and a desire to just f**k it and run away.

A new feeling I must say because MCs that went inside a game usually know what's the plot gonna be. Even cultivation novels with the MC potentially facing strong enemies didn't make me feel like this. I love it and I want MOAR!

That chapter about worth is also goood, gave me a feeling similar to Youjo Senki without Youjo Senki's (seemingly) excess details. I give it a 5!

Ahh, I'm dirt poor and can't support you but I hope this review encourages you, somehow.

This story is amazing and the writing keeps me at attention as I am reading it. Although it has not been updated in a few months I am happy to wait if the author plans to continue.
