edit: After way too long, because of distractions, I finally got back into reading and actually finishing the story, and... yeah! It's extremely good with a great, chaotic mix of silly and serious. Read it!

An actress in our midst! has been a very enjoyable story. Another take on the classic Magical Girls vs Demon Invader group.
The plot and story progression has been fun, with our main cast slowly learning more about this weird conflict. Speaking of cast. Jessica is great, so is her demon minions, but Jessica has been a really enjoyable protag to experience the story through.
The story follows Jessica as she grows stronger, attempts to sabotage, and learn more about the inner workings of this conflict.
Yeah... Don't know what else to say. Give it a read.

I really liked this one despite disliking magical girl media otherwise, I'm glad I gave this a shot. Anyway onto the more "professional" review.
An actress in our midst is an exquisite and refreshing novel, the main protagonist is also one of my favorites personality wise. The side characters are also written pretty well overall.
I really am not that good at writing reviews but one thing for sure, this is a read you won't regret.
