Special trait or ability a person is born with. EXO abilities usually awaken sometime during puberty, however, there are cases of them awakening beforehand. If one does not awaken their EXO during that time they are classified as normal humans. It is to be noted that the earlier one awakens their EXO the stronger it is. Some EXO's have a strong genetic trait thus allowing them to be passed down the family bloodline. EXO's can be categorized into three categories, Offensive, Support, Defensive. There are people who can be born with more than one EXO however it is extremely rare. Those who have an EXO go to a specialized academy that teaches them how to use their ability correctly. Later they are able to apply for a certain division that they want to attend. Each division has their own responsibility and duty. Once a person graduates from the academy they are able to get a job based on the division they were in.

An invisible source of power to the naked eye, it supplies EXO users with the power to use their abilities. The essence is floating around in the world and is used for a wide variety of things. An EXO user is able to absorb this essence through various training methods to increase the amount they have inside their body. Every person has a different capacity, meaning they all have a different amount of EXO essence they can hold in their body. EXO Essence can be absorbed by weapons of different kinds, making itself visible for a brief moment.

Ability to control the EXO essence that is being used. A highly skilled person who is able to manipulate EXO essence can render any EXO user helpless. When a person masters EXO manipulation they can form weapons made of EXO essence.

Like a blood rushing through a vein, EXO essence flows through channels within the human body. An EXO user is given a constant supply of essence throughout their entire body. When they launch their ability the essence in their body flows in a certain direction. Every EXO user has a certain color of their flow, this represents what type of EXO ability type they have. Ex. Red Flow = Fire type EXO ability

Like veins but they carry EXO essence throughout them. There are sixteen weak points in the body that can disrupt or cripple an EXO user. Hitting one of these points stops the flow of essence going through that channel.

You pass the amount of essence your body can contain making the essence leak from your channels into your body. You are more than likely going to mutate or lose your sanity when you overflow.

People who have survived an Overflow and maintained their sanity. Their entire body is strengthened and their EXO ability has either increased or evolved. One of these people could destroy an entire country. So far there are only five known and recorded Xeno in the world.

Offensive/Defensive/Support are the three divisions at the academy. As a student progresses through the years, they also attend different courses. There are four courses that are mandatory for a student to take before they graduate. These are, novice, intermediate, advanced, master. Every course has a different difficulty, and when a student advances through the courses their abilities also develop. It is possible to skip a course if you have enough talent and skill.

Unlike normal schools were students would take multiple classes in a day for eight hours. At an EXO academy, students took one class for six hours a day. The teacher assigned to teach that class would then stay with you for the remainder for the school year. A student studied under one of the professors who either had their ability or knew a lot about it.

In the academy, only the top 10 students for each year have an official title. There were also fan made titles given by students to other students. If a person had a title they were a very talented individual that people in the EXO community had to pay attention to them.

There are many type of roles an EXO user can play as depending on their ability. A person usually specializes in one type. These types are Vanguard, Warrior, Scout, Sniper, Mage, Tamer, Cleric, Assassin. Then there were support types, such as Weaponsmith, Explorer, Appraiser, Surveillance, Alchemist, Chef, Armorsmith, Tailor.

Is like the heart of an EXO user, it constantly pumps EXO essence throughout their body. If this core is damaged in any way it could be the end for an EXO user, going from extraordinary to ordinary in a flash. Located in the stomach region.

Anti Exo Users is an organization that blames the EXO users for the destruction/chaos that happens in the world. They are trained to fight against EXO users but they are not an EXO user. Their goal is to wipe EXO users off the planet.

Anti Terrorist Unit is an organization tasked with taking down terrorist groups in the US. It is a mixture of EXO users and normal people.

An organization with unknown goals as of yet. The members are all across the world, and are in different positions within the EXO community. Some of their members are teachers at academies, some are doctors, others are in the military. Delirium members are are divided into rankers and normal members. While the normal members can also be considered dangerous, a ranker is more powerful than average EXO users. Delirium currently has twenty rankers. For their goal, they are willing to do anything even if they have to create a separate company/building/group/organization so they can lie to those who will be of service to them. A member of Delirium has a distinct tattoo, but not many openly show it. They are the second watched organization in the US.

Five points that are located on the body of every being dead or alive, and inanimate objects. When one of these points are hit with a massive amount of force, it will cause the person to break apart internally. They are the absolute weak points. These five points have no distinct location as everyone/object has these points in different areas.

Equipment can be can be broken down into five different grades. Basic/Medium/Advanced/Legendary/Mythical, each with a low, mid, high tier. Higher grade weapons have a higher durability and deal more damage. Some weapons enhance a certain EXO ability, while others just increase the flow of EXO essence to the weapon.

Beast are all ranked and have a certain tier. Omega/Beta/Alpha are mutated beast of the lowest ranking. Demon ranked beast are graded by numbers, with the highest being a grade five and lowest being grade one. After Demon rank is, Demon General which has the same grading system as Demon. Demon Lord is next, with only three grades in that rank. Finally, Demon King. There are only seven Demon King beast in the world. However, there have been tales of there being a Demon God. No beast has come to that rank, since.

When an EXO user is killed all the essence in their body is drained. An EXO user can be drained of all the essence in their body as well under certain circumstance, causing them to look old and wrinkled.

The strongest family in a country, that is responsible for foreign affairs and government management. Members of the Guardian Family all become high ranking officials of society or the military. If a war breaks out they will be on the front lines.

Shadow is comprised of students at Demeter Academy who are in the Student Council and Disciplinary Committee. Shadow undertakes task that are similar to the special forces but on a smaller scale.

Darker path EXO users can take. The pure essence in your body is more demonic and your power is strengthened. The only way to achieve this state is to exchange your life for it. Who grants a user this power is currently unknown.

Humans that were produced in as a lab experiment. Each one of them has more than one EXO ability. These abilities came from Demon ranked or higher beast. They have no father, and all of them are under the control of Delirium except for Katherine.

Using Diana Wells data they recovered, the Wells started a new experiment. Mary Wells tweaked her cousins work with her own knowledge to create a new specimen/being. With the help of sub-branches they managed to produce four Self-Evolving Specimen.

S.E.S are able to learn on their own and advance at a rapid pace. Without any sort of training their essence will grow exponentially. They have the ability to duplicate other EXO and they can shapeshift.
