A small blunder leads to Riku being cruelly killed by a collapsing shrine. The goddess it belonged to leaves him with an easy choice: Being reborn with in a new world or to start his journey to the afterlife.
Naturally, Riku decides on the former and is promtly reborn in a fantasy world - as a girl and sole survivor of the fox kin. But the goddess still was not done with him...
Why would she do all of this!?
Finally a story that is not just "I got turned into a woman so now I can fondle my boobies and collect waifus". It is refreshing to see well written GB in this site. You have to filter through a massive pile of yuck to get to this nice and engaging stories you can not put down.
The story is clever written and avoids the predictability of the genre and manages to catpure your interest. Not much plot at the beginning but this seems like a story set to for a loooong ride. So buckle up!

i caught up.
i feel... Very conflicted.
on the one hand: Excellent story, characters, world and intrigue.
On the other:
MC is... well still very much NOT adjusted to the world
and getting thrown around like a highly valued doll at an auction house.
everyone acknowledges her existence but as nothing more than "a valuable object"
its depressing to see how, despite how a lot has changed, its all still the same as at the start.
i dont know if I should continue reading or look for greener pastures...
this IS an excellent story, but im finding it hard to convince myself to continue reading.
edit: I feel like I need to add, as another reviewer wrote, This does NOT deserve to have the "comedy" tag, oh it has funny moments sure, but its all just Way too depressing right now for that to matter

Oooh boy... What to say?
This story is a roller-coaster of themes. It tackles the premise of isekai in a relatively fresh way, but is extremely hit-or-miss with its portrayal of agency and identity as it pertains to the main character.
Trying to avoid spoilers here, the specific mechanics of the protagonist's reincarnation are fairly unique. The premise is gripping and the world building is well done with hints at a rich world in the background. However, this is unfortunately overshadowed by the handling of the protagonist, both in-world and from a thematic standpoint.
None of the characters seem to care what the protagonist thinks, most frustratingly the protagonist themself. Complaining with no action. Arguing with immediate surrender. The most egregious is the goddess, and any chapter without her is all the better for it, which is unfortunate since she's an interesting character in her own right. The best example I can think of, from Chapter 8:
「Rika...」"That's not my name!"「It is now~」"..."
I want to like this story, and I do, but its frustration incarnate to see a character that is set-up to be willful and driven portrayed as little more than a doormat for literally every other character they interact with...
And don't get me started on the adventurer guild receptionist, easily the worst character in the story.

I usually aint one to post reviews, however, I wanna just have my own opinion here.
The story is compelling, and I enjoy that the MC doesnt just adjust to the world over the course of a few chapters like other isekai's.
I am thoroughly enjoying the world building and the scenarios that the author is putting the MC thru (i personally find alot of the scenarios to b silly).
I do like how the MC acted initially, it was moreso down to earth than others and in my books thats a plus.
All in all I personally as of right now give it a 5/5 and I cant wait for it to come off of hiatus to see what else the author has in store for us as readers and Rikka in general.

This story... I am done with it, to many POV changes without the correct changes and the forcing someone into a relationship they do not want constantly. It is sad, the potential for a fun comedic romp was there. then it all got thrown away for this half baked drama that was done in a poorly written way. one moment it was all fun, then it went all serious.
The thing is that there was so much potential, it was turning into a great story. Then the noble arc was started and it all went away. With rapid poorly done POV changes and now a forced marrige hanging over the MC. The other part of the marrige is not even the right gender for the MC's s*xual prefference. Joking is one thing if the person involved gets a kick out of it, how far it is taken when the PC clearly hates it is another thing entirly.
The harsh rating is due to the missing tags and the force issue, it does not match with the comedy tag.

'Force' MC doing something that they don't like somehow, I kind of uncomfortable with it.
Warning my English is still on learning stage so excuse me for my grammar! (✿◠‿◠)
Nothing much same as usual the quality of all scribblehub and other websites Webnovel/RoyalRoad/Novelupdates/etc kind of trash I want to be honest here. Not all actually it just my opinion. Depending on taste but to be honest hard to find good stories in this year.
So because of Genderbender's Author always wrote stories like this and it is so disappointing that I'm not surprised why so many readers didn't like 'Genderbended' tag.
Alright I want to write more but I'm afraid it will be becoming more toxic if continue.
Peace, goodluck and be safe to everyone else reading this. (I hope no one want to kill themselves or maybe depressed cause so many "Relatable" ppls want to living like in anime that cliche scene when truck-kun run MC over, isekai them to otherworld or MC died and godlike being reincarnated them to become Hero defeat demon lord/king, I hope not right surely?)
