Hu Weiqi, a 28-year-old happy-go-lucky man, always had an easy life.
Before his birth, he received a divination that he had a very lucky fate; therefore, he was named Weiqi "Very lucky."
However, Weiqi's lucky life ends abruptly when he is hit by a truck. Weiqi's first thought is:
"Hey, what about my "Very Lucky" fate? Grandpa, you better ask that Taoist quack for a refund."
Hours later after being hit, he is still floating around waiting for death, thinking:
"Hmm, it seems the truck hit me so hard it broke the law of gravity. "
Finally, Weiqi stops floating and opens his eyes, only to find himself in a strange place.
Well, the place itself is not strange; it's the people who are odd.
They seem to be appearing and disappearing out of thin air.
So Weiqi thinks he might have transmigrated or possessed somebody.
But sadly, this is not like those cheating transmigration stories, where he has memories from the original person.
Nor like those stories where he reads a book, transmigrates in it, and knows what will happen.
(Yes, Weiqi might have read a couple of transmigration books, he knows the plots of most of them.)
He does not get super OP powers either.
(Wait, apparently the Underworld has no effect on his soul, so maybe that is his OP power.
Oh, and he also likes to draw and doodle. So, maybe he has two powers.)
But he still would prefer something more tangible, such as money, a way out of here, or a goddamn jacket.
Weiqi really does not like the cold.
So, Hu Weiqi is simply thrown into a world where he knows nothing, his pants don't fit him, and even this body is not his own. He just met two supervisors of the Underworld (yes, as in where dead people go), and after a short conversation, they just left him, right there, in the middle of the forest, or god-damned mountain for all he knows.
So, Weiqi is thinking: He got hit by a truck, but he is still alive, albeit in a strange place, but alive nonetheless, so was that Taoist priest right? Is his fate Very Lucky?
And so, Weiqi's "Very Lucky" fate continues, in a strange world of cultivation and ghosts.
