The following part may conatin spoilers for those parts that are not yet reached in the story.
Affinity: Every cultivator has a basic affinity to an element that determines his or hers later on powers. There are cases when a cultivator has multiple elements but more than 2 is rare. Two cultivators can work together to combine their affinity if they are close in levels and are used to each other. There are special affinities that are usually distinct family powers and inherited by blood.
Body Refinement: 9 Stages. 1 Stage is completed when the cultivator refines his/her complete body to the same level. It usually goes by body parts, arms, legs, torso, head, chosen by the cultivator himself how to process. There can be cases, when one is advanced in one body part, weak in the others, but those cause problems and usually the cultivator doesn't get far in training.
Ren's Body Refinement: 9 Stages. The cultivator advances his/her body at once per stage, no individual body parts being refined, only the whole body. She discovered the energy points inside the body, that before this, only were utilized and trained in the Harmony Realm. Taking advantage of it, her method includes them integrating into the refinement process, giving the cultivator more power and access to minor spells.
Energy Points: 9 in total.
Advancing to the next realm: After going through a tribulation the body gets further refinement pushing it through its boundaries. The standard cultivation results in cultivators, who can push for breakthrough at any level, prompted, their body parts ARE at the same level. Their level determines how many lightning strikes they need to endure from the Tear. Ren's version is different and more difficult. Those who train in it can only advance after reaching the 9th stage. Then they endure three, concentrated strikes, refining their body and energy veins.
Mixing the two methods: Those who start out with Ren's can not switch anymore. If they try it would result in issues, completely ruining their chances to advance, ever. Those who started out can switch to Ren's method, only, doing so takes time. It is determined how late they join, if above 4th or the 5th realms when switching, it is problematic and may take decades to convert their previous works even if they advance fast. Lower levels can convert quickly but it is the best if starting out with it.
The following part may conatin spoilers for those parts that are not yet reached in the story.
Harmony Realm: 3 stages.
Inner Harmony: This is the basic stage, those who arrived here by the basic method are cultivated to gain complete control and harmony with their own bodies. Ren's method causes the cultivator to when he or she advances she is already almost at the peak of the first realm, as they refined their energy points earlier.
Outer Harmony: This stage is for the cultivators to harmonize with their surroundings and gain control over the powers of nature. Their inherent affinity was at a stage where it affected nature’s own forces, coexisting in a symbiotic relation resulting in acting in sync with the cultivator. If they reached the 2nd stage naturally. The other option was usually chosen by those who are stuck at the 1st stage and did so, out of desperation or because they were obsessed with control over everything. It was not a symbiotic relation but it was a forceful and dominant act where the cultivator took control over nature’s forces and used it her or himself. A lot of times if the person tried to use more and more, way above his proficiency or strength, nature itself would revolt, resulting in a strong backlash and maybe even in serious injury or death.
This is why reaching Outer Harmony had no tribulation for those who reached it naturally. They were able to say, they reached true harmony with nature yet those who took the more forceful approach had to survive nature’s wrath, a strong tribulation. The power they could wield and command may be more stronger and violent but also more dangerous because of the constant danger of nature’s backlash. Some even called them Disharmony Cultivators as it went against everything the other road of cultivation represented.
Through the time Harmony experts appeared and the realm got established, few people appeared who took the forceful approach, mostly because 9 out of 10 perished in the initial tribulation. Those who succeeded sooner or later found themselves killed by their own powers as they got stronger but were unable to control it. It was thought to be a dead end, a short few centuries with extra strength before the inevitable demise of the cultivator by his or her own powers. Until one individual broke the mold and reached Perfect Harmony, someone who went by the name of Zelig. Nobody knows how he did it as he never told anyone but since then everyone knew… It can be done.
Perfect Harmony: The last stage of the Harmony Realm. Cultivators here form a perfect cycle with their bodies and with nature in harmony. Their body transforms into that of a Demigod. To break through they need to raise their comprehension, the mental state of their existence, more precisely advance their souls.
To reach this stage one must truly be in harmony not just with nature but with himself. If there is any doubt in a person’s mind, conscious or subconscious, that would bar them from advancing to this stage. If this stage is reached, the cultivator can start merging his or her energy points into a demigod crystal. After finishing the merge he or she needs to gain control over it which is the hardest part as it depends on the cultivators' own mind and will.
The following part may conatin spoilers for those parts that are not yet reached in the story.
Demigod Realm: The cultivator merges his or her own energy points into one, combining all of them inside his body. This can only be done at the Perfect Harmony realm where the body is capable of handling this task. After doing so, a Demigod crystal is formed and if it can be controlled by one successfully in every aspect, the cultivator advances into the Demigod Realm. The fusing of the energy points falls solely on the cultivator, there can’t be a technique or method to follow, one needs to do this by him or herself as everybody’s body is different. After this the cultivator has two options. Filling it up until it evolves into a perfect form, evolving him or her into a God. Or, starts to break it down and fuse the pieces into his or her body, taking steps towards being an Immortal.
Immortal Realm: The soul and the body is completly fused, becoming one. They can only die if they are destroyed in both body and soul at the same time. Usually reached by cutting their own cores apart multiple times, thorughout long years.
God Realm: There are two types of Gods, Natural and Uplifted. The first ones took the “Last Tribulation”, shedding their original, “mortal” body when forming their Godcore and recreate their fleshly body in the process. Those who can’t sustain their souls with their core quickly die and disappear. Uplifted Gods are weaker as they never go through the last step, relying on a natural born God to help them and uplift them to Godhood. This takes its toll on the God, doing the deed, permanently weakening their powers.
Demonic Cultivation: The demonfolks advance naturally. Their bodies form a demoncore that absorbs energy automatically and as a demon ages, he or she evolves naturally. The demon’s core acts like a Demigod’s core. The difference is when a demon forms a demoncore and fills it first, they receive a tribulation. Surviving it makes them able to turn into human form. Everytime their core is filled, a tribulation descends, and expands the core’s capacity. When they are at a stage equivalent of the Perfect Harmony, they have a harder time taking control of their demoncores. As it is filled to the brim with energy, it makes it exponentially harder to control it. But if one succeeds the demon evolves once again.
Demon Core: The source of power for demonfolks. Similar to humans power source in the later stages.
God Core: Core of Gods. Not yet explored further, but a powerful item, the power source of a God and the housing of their souls.

It's rare to find a good cultivation novel with a female protagonist, but this is definitely one of them.
The world building is well done without too many info dumps, the characters feel like real people, and dialogue flows nicely while not feeling like filler.
The main character is strong and confident, while also not being overpowered. I especially like her playful and unabashed personality, as well as her relationship with the ML.
Conflicts make sense and aren't just one dimensional villain clichés, and the plot is slowly but steadily advancing without making massive jumps that leave the reader confused.
Finally, the cultivation and power gain is consistent throughout the novel, I think the main character and characters around her increase their strength at a pace that makes sense for the setting while still being exciting to read about.
Overall, if you like the genre, or even if you don't, you should definitely give this a read!

Its truly rare to find a cultivation novel with a female lead that isnt some generic chinese trash. Most of what I want to say has been said by BioArcane so, good job author!
If there was one gripe I have about the novel its that our MC is too playful and childish, I would even say irresponsible. The few times she is serious is when she is angry or someone close to her is in danger or hurt. A lot of her decisions could easily turn badly for her or her close ones if it wasnt for either plot armor or her special past and background.
This is purely a personal dislike on my part and in no way am I shaming the character. Even though I felt a little annoyed with her sometimes I still enjoyed this story massively.
I recommend this story too anyone who doesnt mind an outgoing female protagonist who gives 0 sh*ts about common sense and the rules. Not to mention the authors way of introducing cultivation and how they wrote the story is great. This story is a breath of fresh air after almost drowning in the ocean of piss poor generic, re-skin chinese cultivation novels you have seen around.
You know the ones with some reincarnated assassin, genius doctor, abused daughter of a rich family, sh*t aunts and uncles, revenge, and some generic cold hearted male lead that somehow falls for the female lead ect ect...

To get the opinion out of the way: this is probably one of the best stories I've read. There, I've said it, I believe it, but it won't help you choose to read, which you should.
So first, I think this is one of the best explorations of a reincarnation plot I've seen. This is for a few reasons:
1) It's not intrusive: it's a part of the story, it's important, but you aren't being slapped in the face with it, nor are you left feeling that the character is acting way dumber than someone their age should.
2) It doesn't feel weird: the whole reason behind the reincarnation is well explained, the character's reaction/perception of it is natural and refreshing, and it's a fundamental part of the plot rather than a means to explain it to the reader.
Next, read BioArcane's review, it perfectly highlights the rest of the stories best points and is still relevant even now! There has been no drop in quality whatsoever.
There is an unfortunate issue with the grammar, mainly with the use of gendered pronouns (which is later explained to the authors native language not having them), but its by no means unreadable, just need to be cautious that he and she may not be reversed.
Tldr: it's very good with good plots, good world-building, good characters, and good progression, but he and she = they, and I have to wait for more chapters now that I'm caught up... Yes, that last one can be a problem don't judge me. Anyway, read it... Just try a few chapters

One of the best stories out there. First, the female protagonist is a real protagonist, not just a female being saved by others all the time. She is a strong protagonist without being totally overpowered and getting stronger at a flow that makes sense; the same goes for the side characters.
The story is well set around her and the world is well described making it easy to follow for the reader. There are quite a lot of fights taking place but there are not taking an overbearing place in the story and are mostly logical helping the plot; not just random fights that take place for who knows why. The storytelling is really well-written and intriguing making it very enjoyable to read even at a daily basis.
There are two chapters a day which helps the readers to stay tuned.
The side characters are also well-written and well-developed alongside the protagonist, each having different characteristics and powers making the story even more interesting and diversified.
If I had to find a drawback, it would be about the power levels of some characters she encounters later on in the novel which are perhaps a bit unbalanced but it helps bring interest to the story so it's fine in my opinion.
There is no trauma about her previous life or stuff like regrets. She really does start over and enjoys her new life as if it is her first making the character even more interesting.
There is a bit of romance but it's well-made so it's mostly funny, not overbearing, and helps the plot go forward while improving the relationship between the protagonist and the ML.
All in all it is one of the best if not the best cultivation I've ever read and I definitely advise you to try it.

I don't even use ScribbleHub, I just made an account to write this. The story is amazing: the characters are lovable and endearing, each with their own personality; the pacing is great, never slow and even then with enough space for downtime and small chapters to get to know the world and characters better.
As others have pointed out, it's not a "cultivation" story but rather a story with cultivation as it's power system. It also borrows some world-building aspects, but that's mostly all of it. For me, it was a breath of fresh air; not having to keep track of the MC's fifth demonic cultivation technique or having to read 4 paragraphs explaining in minute detail how the energies in this specific world works. Basically, the cultivation aspects are tools the story uses (really well I might add) and not the main focal point or driving force.
The overarching story is great too. I found it as an interesting take on the subject and as one learns more, it makes sense and becomes more appealing. It could be argued that there are some parts that are solved a bit fast or easily. However, I see it as a matter of preference; it prevents the story from stagnating too long on a conflict or area and keeps it rolling along to the next arc.
I can't recommend this novel enough. If you're looking for good stories to read, this right here is one.

I absolute can recommend to read Mad god it's one of the best storys that I had the enjoyment to read and I thank Corty for creating this masterpiece.
I Just finished the Story and still can't Believe it's the end.
I loved the main group around the Main character Ren every one had Something unique. But Ren was by far my favorite I liked her Humor and how she was Always confident in her way. My second favorit characters would be Kang I just love that friendly giant, and Ariana she really grow on me.
Grammar was absolutely okay there was an error with the He/She Sometimes but nothing that really stood out to me.
Sorry for my absolutely not perfect grammar but I hope the person who ready this is going to have as much fun as I had reading Mad God.

Not sure why it claims status is chapter one... Im on Chapter 200 and can't wait for more.
So many cultivation stories quickly turn boring as they seem that every new chapter is "Welp they cultivate some more... Followed by more of the same.
Not this story. It has fun and tragedy mixed and a plot that keeps expanding and I always look forward to the next chapter.
Thought to add to the previous review. This is not a story about cultivation. It is a story WITH cultivation.

Absolutely gold. Hilarious comedy, logical and witty interactions, and an actual progression system. The MC may be reincarnated but isn't instantly OP due to previous knowledge and actually has to train. The world is actually well built and progressing as you would hope and the cast is well developed upon introduction and are kept relevant, even for characters that were only mentioned in a single sentence. Finally the power system is relatively easy to understand and is consistent in what can and can't be done based off level and element, but can still be overturned based on skill and knowledge. Overall it's a great story that you should read even if you don't really enjoy cultivation like me!

This is pretty well written, and you can tell the author has at least some expirience writing stories as it's fairly well paced, with decent character writing and development. Even side characters get their time to shine, with seeming one offs getting attention to the point that it's surprising if they don't come back.
The setting is pretty standard for cultivation novels, but it's executed so smoothly that it honestly feels pretty refreshing. The story avoids the endless repetition that often appears in those novels, due to authors trying to pad out the length and milk money from whatever pay-par-chapter site they publish on. It's not revolutionary, and if you've read a ton of cultivation stories this one might not be very notable, but so far it definitely hasn't been a waste to read.
Really, the greatest criticism I can make for this novel is that it's desperately in need of heavy proof reading. There are some jumbled sentences, mixed up names, incorrect auto-corrects, and tons and tons of mixed up pronouns. Honestly, this is the one thing that could be a major dealbreaker for some people, as if I wasn't used to auto-correcting those issues in my head, as I've worked as a proofreader in the past, it could easily frustrate some people.
If those issues are fixed, I could honestly say that the author could publish this and it'd be worth the money for readers. Maybe not worth the trouble of getting printed, but split into volumes at a few bucks each and I don't see anybody complaining.

The novel is about a reincarnated god and her journey to the top again for an objective that's established well early into the story all while cherishing her new life and trying to undo the regrets of the past.
STORY
The novel has around five plotlines that complete it. The world is dynamic as well, in the sense that it doesn't stop moving just because the main characters are not involved in it.
You see different schemes and machinations happening in the background while the main cast is involved with another agenda entirely that doesn't seem related to them [or that's what it seems at first].
Although few of the plots do seem disconnected from the main story at first, the transition between them works seamlessly and the author excels in connecting previous plots to new ones without making them look haphazard or forced.
CHARACTERS
This element is the best aspect of this novel in my opinion. No characters are left to collect dust. All side characters play a definitive part in moving the story. And most important of all, they're fleshed out in an empathetic way that you relate to them through their highs and lows. The character-centric arcs are portrayed through point-of-view switches and every time you turn the focus to them you see the changes/developments in their life or even themselves.
The main selling of the characters in this story is the dynamics that exist between them. No inherent character is evil by default. The way they act is not without reason. It could be because of their agenda, interests, their lifestyle, or their lacking perspective, and as these elements change throughout the story so do the characters and along with the dynamic they establish with others - it is everchanging and not static by any means.
SYSTEM
As you might have guessed already, this story is based on a cultivation system and unlike many other novels, the cultivation here exists to support the story rather than it being the story itself. It is a bit difficult for me to explain the system without spoiling it as there exists an old system and a new system and how they work their relationship is half the fun and I'll ruin it if I explain more. All I will say is, the main character, in a way is a cultivation researcher who works on the system to benefit the world's populace.
The power level is kept grounded throughout the story. The main character is not inherently the strongest in her realm. The affinity you have strongly plays a role in whether you have an advantage over your opponents or not. And if you are at a disadvantage, your battle experience is relevant in the fight about how you circumvent the situation. The opponents' experiences are also considered in the battles and are not ignored by any means just because our MC is a reincarnated god.
To conclude, it's a great book with a well-established balance between the plot, cultivation, and characters that you must read if you really enjoy good cultivation stories.
P.S. The author is also interactive in discussions and will really engage with the readers to clarify any doubts or points they might rise throughout the journey, and it makes you part of this amazing work even more, so that's an extra bonus.
