Seth Gilles, a 27-year old public school teacher, has a secret: he can travel back in time, and influence the subsequent events. However, it comes with a price. For each of his attempts to change the timeline, he ends up suffering for it. Because of that condition, Seth vows never to use it unless necessary.
Then, one day in March, he meets a girl named Stephanie. With her cheerful and bubbly personality, his life is never the same again...
A great read. Truly.
First of all, I really enjoy the concept of how the time-traveling ability has been adapted. It is hard to pull something like that off but what has been done here is a great way to do it. I am also immensely curious as to how it will play out later on in the story, as we already know the consequences of using it, established quickly in the story. Simply put, without spoilers, time is an SOB when you start playing with it.
Next, is the Slice of Life element. Love it. Especially as someone from a different part of the world, I really appreciated the author's notes at the end of the chapters. Getting a glimpse into a different part of the world was/is fun! Then there is Seth and Steph's relationship. It is built up slowly but surely throughout the chapters and it is well-paced and totally believable. I am excited to see how it will play out, especially related to the very first chapter and our introduction to time traveling. I have guesses but I'll keep them for myself, for now, waiting to read more.
As to where the story will go from here (at least when I'm writing this review) is a mystery, especially after what happened in the Epilogue. Looking forward to it! If it keeps up the quality of writing and storytelling, then it is truly worthy of a read and 5 stars!
