Really liking the story so far. One of the authors previous works had a main character that was trying to avoid the main story and was forced to be involved against his wishes. This made him look weak and resulted in readers dropping the story. 

I am pleased to see that the author seems to learn from his mistakes as not only did that main character start acting more assertively; but in this work the main character immediately prepares for getting involved in the main story, and doesn't care how his progress effects the original protagonist.

One issue I have with this work is the world somewhat bends to the will of the character. As most people know a character is supposed to be molded by the world around him, growing through trials; not the other way around

This is a glaring flaw I see in most works that sit at the edge of power fantasy. Eventually the plot itself bends to the main character's will just so the main character can get their way. 

So far this flaw is limited to power only, and doesn't extend to the plot. I see great potential in this story if it stays that way.

I really like the story so far.  The Main Character's interactions with others so far have been shallow except for one confrontation, but you can still get a feel for both the Main Character and the personality he overlapped with.

Pros: The MC is a no-nonsense kind of guy, not a beta that wants to sit in the background and avoid the story. The story doesn't seem to focus on revenge, but there's a "soft-revenge" aspect to it where bad things happen to bad people. The MC has a legitimately loving family, which is something I like in stories like this.

Cons:The MC has a lot of convenient things happen.  Part of this is because of his game knowledge, but then it goes a step further.

So the world revolves around him, but hey, it's just that kind of story.
