So far a very promising read! (So I've decided to review even though there's only 5 chps)
The MC is not a Gary Stu, but at first seems like an uber angsty, self centred, standard CN character. However, unlike wooden characters from some CN, while the MC's characters stays fundamentally the same, his changing circumstances turn his 'bad' character against him and he is forced to come to terms in a very 'human-like' way. This makes him a sympathetic and intetesting character although he's a selfish b*stard. He is a self-serving character done right.
I like how the story focuses on man vs world and man vs himself instead of opting to ignore the MC's obvious flaws or adressing them superficially. This makes the story very compelling and I look forward to seeing whether he grows, or maybe doesn't. That's the charm. (So far...I will update when there's more chp's)
