Refers to the virtualization of capsule-toy vending machines. Virtual currency is used in video games to roll for characters, items, etc. It is based on luck, with rates changing when the game implements increased percentage rates for appearances. In Puzzle and Dragons, there are multiple gacha machines -- the main one being the rare egg machine.
Some of the strongest monsters of Pirugan that hold the greatest potential for growth and evolution. The term "god" does not refer to being an actual deity, but is a portrayal of status. Many god monsters received their titles by accomplishing something important as a lesser monster, or was bestowed upon them by a higher, unknown power. The referenced pantheons are pulled from sacred tomes once held at Rhea-Themis Temple.
Monsters viewed as fodder and/or foot soldiers among the stronger monsters and humans. These are the typical enemies Players are accustomed to from their typical RPGs (lizardmen, taur demons, slimes, etc.). These monsters do not hold any special status.
An event across Pirugan that reverted god monsters and other select monsters to their original states of power according to status. It is common knowledge that the reset of power was created and delayed with a pre-initiation by one of the Creators from Earth. Its intended purpose was for preparation of the Players' arrival.
A term used in match-three games when orbs fall from the unseen portion of a board and creates matches based on luck. The chance of extra matches can be increased by a skilled Player who prepares a number of orbs in advance.
A code derived from studies on Earth with all aspects of life. Implemented by Shinji Takamura within his own program that gave him access to Pirugan. It is still unclear as to whether this code brings about existence or has other properties that involve world control.

A gifted, but troubled young man who seeks an escape from his current reality. He applies for the LAN Beta test for Puzzle and Dragons World as his potential outlet.
His rank in the original game is considered rather low and is interpreted as a lack of experience to other Players. However, his intrinsic scans show potentials that reach beyond an average individual.
He almost immediately realizes how disturbingly real the supposed virtual world is when he arrives.

He is the first denizen of Earth to traverse the Pirugan continent and converse with the god monsters. He gives the Universal Code to Pandora when unknown enemies discover his work and attack his main facility.
