How far would you go to play CORA, latest and greatest addition to ranks of full immersion sword and magic VRMMORPGs? Would you buy black market access codes? Patch yourself into a walled off network? Cross an armed border?
Can Jamie manage to keep his identity intact all while trying to keep it secret, or will the process of adopting a character persona reveal what was laying underneath all along?
A transgender litrpg with sapphic romance.
A canon story in QuietValerie's Troubleverse (Trouble with Horns) setting: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/55539/trouble-with-horns/
I have not listed this story on Amazon, "Level Up System : Action Adventure Drama Gender Bender Girls Love LitRPG Mature Romance Sci-fi" is copyright infringement.
This one is pretty impressive, and I'd even say that if it didn't have much promise (which it does, tons of it).
It starts you out with a relatively perilous situation, and you might worry that it'll be as dark as Songbird (another of Trashlyn's works worth reading)... But then — surprise! — everything after that everything turns extremely cute and fun. I love that contrast, I think it's super cool and thematic... However, at the same time, it makes me really worried that the cute and fun stuff won't last forever... and knowing what's at stake makes it even scarier.
The story also has extremely strong worldbuilding and I really love the characters — the main characters, yes, but even the side characters have so much flavour.
This story is worth reading a thousand percent, and it has been since all the way back in chapter 1. I plan to stick around till the end — I'm excited for the journey this one's sure to be.

Ashlyn is a writer who I have immense respect for. She is so wonderful at painting that picture in your head of exactly what everything in her stories look like. And whilst I struggle to get into the more video-game aspects of VRMMO stories. Illegal Alien focuses more on how the human interacts with the system, and less on stats that don't mean anything to me. And that is something that I can very much get behind.

I made an account specifically to review. I love this story so much. You are really good at writing. When I'm reading this story, there's so much good description and the characters seem really real and like I could actually meet them. Thanyou for writing this!

From the first chapter I knew this story was going to pull at my heart strings, and it didn't disappoint. Trashlyn crafts characters that are extremely rounded and engaging. The interplay between characters and the way they each have a very distinct voice really drew me in.
I've absolutely loved the Journey Aisling and Roxi have shared so far, and the latest chapter might well have been the best yet. I can't wait for more.

Another cute, fluffy story by Trashlyn!
Set in QuietValerie's CoraVerse, this story explores and adds to the world conflicts happening in Cora. It follows our cute, little, fluffy-eared main character and her best girl Roxi as they cuddle, hug, and hold hands on their adventures together.

Excellent story, this really fleshes out the world outside of CORA. Beyond that the character is compelling and is fun to follow!

Another really good story by Trashlyn that pulls on your heart strings. Both with cute moments and moments that make you want to give the characters hugs and a blanket fort.

"I remembered that prehistoric song Mamaí Aine liked to sing whenever I couldn't understand why she decided to stay in the Republic to be with Mom Rachel and have me. You gotta gamble everything for love."
This one sentence, published Apr 11, 2021, deserves 5* on it's own. It's stayed with me longer than anything else ever written on this site. It's kept me warm. It's kept me loved.
It's kept me.
I will always rate this story 5*, no matter what, thanks to that one sentence. It deserves an emmy.

The story is good, but not great. The premise has a lot of potential, but the story develops so, sooo slow...
i mean.. about 1/4 of the story sofar is about walking through the forest while the MC is monologging internally about how exausted she is or is having an interal chrisis...
I understand it's a psychological story but it becomes stale when relying on monologging to tell the audience. I feel a lack of character interactions sometimes.
On the otherhand, action is nice, MC is easy to understand/relate to and the romance will feel earned when it blooms. I'll be back when more is released.
