It's a good story except the crafting system broke my suspension of disbelief.

Wow I really loved this! I love how the MC is not like any xianxian protagonist but actually just a normal person. The beggining is great up to the current chapters, a good character development for the MC. Though I'd like to suggest that the world building to be more detailed.

Overall enjoyed the story
I'm considering dropping it after he goes to the different world as a summon, after that point the story is just annoying and I dont feel like reading it anymore

It doesn't re-invent the genre and it has a bit of lukewarm naming sense regarding the skill flavours and attacks, but the MC is my favourite wuxua/xianxia one in a Very long time.
Especially when the genre is saturated with murder hobos, psychopaths and self righteous hypocrits.
The system was silly at times but it's fine since this story has the "Comedic Undertone" tag, but overall it's a decent system that while it seems broken, it is handled later on in a way that balances the MC OP-ness with the existence of challenging opponents, which is definitely good.
I personally liled the characters, aside from the regular young master goon here and there, the "villains" aren't too shabby and the supporting cast is kinda nice, some characters could use development though.
To end this, its one of the better stories in its genre, read it.

One of the most entertaining XianXia novel I had the luck to read.
I'm happy to see the ususal sh*tty XainXia plot thrown out of the window and see some unique plot taking place.
No stupid young masters making two clans collide in life and death battles left and right. No MC's head full of "jade-like beauties". ACTUAL HUMOUR.
I'm happy that I discovered this novel and gave it a chanse and can only recommend it for those who like the cultivation type novels.

Arrived at chapter 330.
Read at your discretion. MAY CONTAIN A SPOILER.
I would say, overall the chapters at the beginning are very refreshing; the MC are not cunning, know-what-to-do type but awkward-thrust-into-unknown-world-screaming-what-do-I-do. He grew up and become better. Then a new genre of world-hopping was added; don't know why, probably because the author ran out of ideas with the current world or just trying to be original and it was planned all along. Cool ideas, by the way. BUT! Not really my cup of tea thing, I tried to avoid this kind of trope but because I read 200+ chapters of this story, I decided to give it a try but ended up skipping a lot, and I mean half the chapters consist of the 1st world-hopping. Could never enjoy this trope because I always felt like there are still things to do in the original world and these world hopping are just filler that wouldn't add anything substantial to the story and the characters. And I felt like the 1st world-hopped did nothing but give the MC's system an AI; which so far after the system reboot, the system kinda played little to no role in the story. Maybe down the line, the system would become more proactive after more and more stuff is revealed about the cubes and the Overseer.
All over I would say a 4.4~4.6 rating, taking into account my bias towards world-hopping. Great writing with little to no writing errors. Frequent updates. Not really many cliffs. Don't see many side characters' growth (their mental kinda growth, not strength) and perspectives (Of the MC; so far I only saw 1 chapter? Of MC's wife). Things mostly happened at the MC's pace or as the plot thickens. Late and not really many world-buildings (Currently).
I think that's it, can't think much of anything else.

Another quality work by Kuropon. Frankly, I think "The Runesmith" is better. I will write the reason at the bottom. Let's continue for now. The serie criticizes the silly things in the cullian series with very good quality and handles it perfectly. I'm officially in love with MC. I wish it could continue like the first 200 episodes. better because as perfect as "Unfathomable Senior" came to death in the first arc and up until her marriage (I really enjoyed it), after that it felt like a patrion smack. Most of the partitions are still empty. I almost stopped reading after that point.

I'll review properly later but this sentence
I always was bad with Chinese names... how about... Zhang Dong... Hehe...
had me giggling for a solid minute. The hesitation before even saying his name. You can tell he's barely holding it in. I think I will probably enjoy this story.

I enjoyed reading this story as it's a fresh take on the Xianxia genre. The starting chapters are somewhat hard to bear but after Zhang Dong returns to his clan, the story improves drastically.

Read 200+ chaps over the course of a week so I can definitely say that if this appeals to you it will hook you. If you like the sound of a system plus cultivation this is for you if you don't then this isn't for you. I'm a sucker for cultivation stories and if you are too give it a shot.
