Lin Fei, who had mediocre martial arts talent, unexpectedly acquired a martial arts system. All of his martial arts skills could be self-cultivated.
"Your Giant Whale Body Refining Technique has increased by 50% due to its observation of the 'Long Whale Under the Moon' diagram, which enabled it to comprehend the essence of the technique."
Despite not putting in much effort, Lin Fei's martial arts skills were too diligent...

The novel started out with a very novel concept that could be great to build upon. But the whole novel is literally just bland. The characters and plot are very one dimensional. MC becomes strong with his cheat and therefore is now arrogant cuz of it. He kills everyone in one hit. Everyone in the world is like you're weaker than me eat sh*t. MC beats enemies 3+ levels above him cuz of cheat. Novel doesn't show much emotion or even a broad spectrum outside of your typical wuxia/xianxia novel of face slapping, big ego arrogance, sh*t talking rumors about someone else and muttering under than breaths about the MC. Also the MC is pretty brainless. MC adopts a guy who he thinks is useful to him. But all the guy does is bring trouble. Also the MC is HARBORING A BAD GUY AND HELPING TO SHELTER THE BAD GUY. Now because of that a enemy good guy shows up and tries to take out the bad guy. But the MC is like no no no he's useful so that makes you the bad guy and kills him. Then goes out and says it wasn't my fault. Dude the MC IS THE BAD GUY Too. He's actively harboring a criminal and then kills a good guy of it. Then actively lied about it to the authorities. THE MC IS THE EVIL VILLIAN, don't let the author fool you.

It's pure xianxia slop. If you've read xianxia garbage before you've pretty much read this novel already. The MC is a just your average sociopath murderhobo MC slaughtering enemies to the last disciple with a "system" that is barely mentioned at this point but only exists for people that love litrpgs to eat up. The plot is generic as hell and the writer pads out chapters repeating sentences over and over again to give us the pure unfiltered xianxiatrash experience.
I'm still gonna read this as a guilty pleasure tho because it's uploaded daily. Yes, I know those 5 minutes are better spent doing something productive or at least reading something actually good but I can't help myself.
Edit: dropped at chapter 207

this is quite bland, this novel has no story plot or anything, just plain and boring.

Ngl it got me hooked
Now well.. Whilst the grammar isn't the best, it's still readable
Quite fast paced too which is quite refreshing from the recent trends
I recommend if you wanting to binge and have nothing better to do XD

Very repetitive. In the same chapter, there are three to four paragraphs repeating the same fact over again. The best part of this novel ended somewhere around chap 120 ish. After that, it ran out of plot to explore so facts are repeated to fill in the word count requirement.
Edit: Still repetitive but at least it was improving.

An overall well written story. Easy to follow, making it a very relaxing read. Highly recommended if you are just trying to decompress.

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the book. While the plot and characters may not be entirely original, the writing is still enjoyable and the character interactions are well done. In comparison to similar Chinese novels, this one definitely stands out.
One downside is that the story only follows the perspective of the main character, with no exploration of side characters. It's still early on in the book though, so I'm hoping that changes as the story progresses. Overall, I'd recommend giving it a read.

It's quite good. Writing is not the best I've seen, but readable and the author provides ample explanation in various aspects for the reader through the narrator, however, as it is in typical cultivation stories, most information is delivered through the narrator about the surroundings or logic in this world. All in all I would recommend it giving a go. You should read a few chapters before deciding whether it is worth to read all the chapters or not.

It's a fun popcorn read. There are a few places where the language is rough and more places where some description and fluff would have helped the story flesh out. There are also a few places that are weird (like transcendence level being before perfection), but some of them are interesting takes that challenge the conventional approach (martial cultivators vs Qi cultivators).
Regardless it's a quick paced story that doesn't putter around. A few passes of editorial review and this probably would be very popular.
